Watch The PlayStation E3 Conference On A Very Big Screen

There was a time when if you wanted to see anything that happened at E3, you actually had to go .

These days, though, you can just sit home. Or, if you want to get fancy in 2014, you can check things out in the movie theater on the big screen!

As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , the PlayStation E3 2014 press conference will be shown live at more than 40 theaters nationwide.

It will be an HD simulcast and attendees will also be able to check out 30 minutes of extra content, including "exclusive extended game footage and interviews with the world's biggest game developers." Sony may also throw in a few "surprise gifts," too, so there's all sorts of incentive to show up! Just bear in mind that space is limited and you have to register for the special event .

If none of the participating theaters are near you, you can always watch the show at the Blog.

Sony’s E3 2014 Press Conference Begins At 6PM On June 9

Here you go: Mark down the following time and date.

Sony has sent out invites for their E3 2014 press conference, which is an anxiously anticipated event year. So, now you'll know exactly when to start the popcorn.

The press conference begins at 6 p.m. PST on Monday, June 9 . If you're wondering, Microsoft's is on the same day at 9:30 a.m. PST, while Nintendo will begin on Tuesday, June 10 at 9 a.m. PST. Looks like Sony is the only one of the three to have a primetime evening slot, and we're hoping for some fireworks. We've already seen a big list of leaked rumors and if the majority of that is accurate, we should be in line for a great show.

Just gimme Heavenly Sword 2 and I'll be happy.

Sony, Microsoft E3 Press Conference Times Announced

Can you believe that it's almost time for E3 again?

And if you're planning on attending or watching from afar, you should have important times penciled in on your calendar. Two of the most important times involve two major competitors: Sony and Microsoft's press conferences.

According to Examiner.com , Sony's presentation will take place at 6 p.m. PST on Monday, June 4 at the Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. Microsoft's conference will also be on June 4, but it's earlier in the day; it'll start at 10 a.m. PST. While you can expect some fireworks from both companies – as is typical of E3 stage presentations – you must remember that neither will be talking about their next-gen consoles. Well, so they say, at least.

We want to see more for The Last Of Us , certainly, as well as some cool upcoming software for the PlayStation Vita. Expect Sony's handheld to take up a lot of time for Sony.
