If you're a Japanese RPG fan, you're likely interested in any news concerning Nippon Ichi.
At a stage event at the Akihabara Denkigai Festival, CEO Sohei Shinkawa announced three titles , including the previously revealed Cave Story 3D .
The other two were new and although we don't have titles or platform information, we know one is a "new adventure title" and the other is a "new dungeon RPG" from the Disgaea team. The latter should be ready to go some time next year and the only hints we have are some keywords: "7 Angels," "High Resolution Characters," and "Superlative Customization."
In related news, it seems Nippon Ichi also wants to release at least one game for the new PlayStation Vita in 2012, but again, no specifics were confirmed. When it comes to JRPG and strategy/RPG goodness, these are the guys to watch, right?
Hope it's Vita/PS3, since I'm not getting the new unit. Still, anything by Nippon-Ichi is probably quality. I'll stay tuned 🙂
NIS/NIS America are definitely guys to watch. They have been very good to PS3 and PSP owners. we should reward that by buying their games – of course their games are great, so that makes it an easy decision…
