Time to make your PlayStation Vita even prettier than it already is.
A new system update is currently available for Sony's slick portable, and it adds the oft-requested Theme support.
This feature was announced during the Tokyo Game Show last month; Sony confirmed Themes are coming to both the Vita and PlayStation 4. We still don't know when Themes will hit the latter console, but Vita update 3.30 brings the goods tonight. Vita Themes can alter the look of the start/home screens and application icons, and they can even give you different background music.
On Thursday, four non-gaming Themes will be available, with game-centric Themes coming "soon." Those Themes will include Uncharted: Golden Abyss , Tearaway , and Freedom Wars . Oh, and don't forget that update 3.30 will display rarity when viewing Trophies, and the calendar app will now let you send other people event files via PSN messages or email.
Golden Abyss deserves a theme at the very least. A sequel would best.
I second
Now the PS4 needs to bring the PS3/Vita functionality. You know, update connecting to a PS3, back up and restore data all that fun stuff.
I installed the 3.30 update on my Vita TV, and now I'm able to setup my US PSN account. I've been playing PSP games, certain vita games, and ps1 games on my system. The only thing that that I've noticed a hasn't worked, is the US PlayStation Store. If there's any other Vita TV owners on the PlayStation Extreme community you may want to go to the update on your Vita TV.
I really dig this.
Can you make themes on PS4 yet like you can on the PS3. I made a badass Final Fantasy IX theme and I want to make of The Phantom Pain for the PS4.
i think i'll put the unchartered golden abyss theme will be pritty sick and everything else thats coming in the update and i think its on my vita now cos i turn it on breifly this morning my time and and its said system up date complete so i'll probably change the then shortly or later on at some point
