First Japanese Vita TV Commercial

PlayStation Vita TV is so far only confirmed for Japan, but we're hoping it eventually comes to other territories.

The first Japanese TV commercial has arrived and it reminds us of just how cool Vita TV really is: Turn the small screen into a big screen!

Vita TV lets you put Vita games – including PS1 classics like Final Fantasy VII – and other video content on your HDTV, thereby drastically enhancing the sheer viewing size. It retails for about $100 and for that price, the Vita essentially becomes a console. Okay, so it's a limited console as compared to systems like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it's still a really nice option to have. Sony has said that they currently have no plans to deliver Vita TV to the US or Europe, but things could change.

Me, I'll just put FFVII into the PS2 if I want to play it.

Thanks, Zak!

I've heard nothing but negatives about VitaTV. Apparently most Vita games don't even work.

Their are some vita games that will not work with the Vita TV, A number of developers are patchinhg there games to work on a PS3 or PS4 controller. The article I list below will give some more information on using touch controls on the Vita TV.

really cant understand why $ony will only sell this in jp.
its even region locked, WTF $ony NEVER region locks their stuff!
what, they only want the vita to sell well there screw every other market?
biggest complaint with the vita, besides price with those ridiculously overpriced proprietary memory cards, is TV functionality.
now they add it, but its only available for one region.
yup, $ony really is run by a bunch of chimpanzees!!!!!!!
