Jak And Daxter Collection Vita-Bound

We know you all want a sequel of some kind, but would you settle for an awesome compilation on the go?

Sony has announced that the Jak and Daxter Collection will be available for the PlayStation Vita in June. This same collection launched for the PlayStation 3 in February 2012 and it boasts Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy , Jak II and Jak 3 . You'll be able to grab this assembly of Jak goodness for $30 for the Vita.

This version will also feature "authentically reproduced graphics" from the original games, along with touchscreen functionality for a few mini-games. And of course, fans can expect Trophies. Jak and Daxter was one of the best PS2 titles in existence, and actually made me want to play a platformer (which is a rare thing; the only other title that swayed me was Psychonauts ). Many have been hoping for a reunion, as Jak and Daxter haven't been together since their first adventure…maybe it'll happen in the next generation.

Anyway, if you didn't grab this for the PS3 last year, this would make for a great addition to your Vita library.

Wish I had a PSVita for this…

Hey, Sony, how about a second HD collection with Jak X, Daxter, and The Lost Frontier? Please? PRETTY PLEASE?! Release it on the PS3 and PSVita as part of the "cross-buy" promotion.

My daughters love sitting next to me while I play Jak and Daxter on PS3 (btw it looks like a relatively easy one to Platinum). Personally, I've been working on Jak 3, the one I never finished back during PS2's time.
Playing these again really makes me wish Naughty Dog wouldn't have abandoned it's fans by never following up on PS3 hardware. They could've at least have had it outsourced to a quality dev for us.

As for the Vita version. Cool. But I mostly play these so my daughters can watch. It's hard for that to happen on a handheld.

Ready at Dawn would be a perfect quality developer for Jak IV. They're composed of former Naughty Dog employees and worked on Daxter for PSP.

Only problem is they don't seem too interested at the moment.

Cool, never played them on the PS2 or PS3 so this is huge for me!

Shame it's not cross buy. I got the Jak and Daxter HD Collection during a PSN sale.

Would be mighty decent of Sony to give PS3 players the chance to download the Vita version if they've purchased it already.

No matter, I'll simply wait until it's on the PS Vita PSN sale. 🙂

Sly Cooper Collection on Vita has been rated by ESRB!! They just keep coming.

First Jak and Daxter, then Sly Cooper. Ratchet & Clank is only a matter of time.
