GameStop PowerUp Rewards Members Get A Vita Deal

Got the PlayStation Vita yet?

No? Well, now's the time to strike. If you're a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member, you're in a good position to nab Sony's new portable.

For a limited time only, PowerUp Rewards peeps will receive a $50 GameStop gift card when they purchase a Wi-Fi or 3G Vita. The offer is valid in stores only so you gotta drive down to your local brick-and-mortar retailer, and here's the other kicker: This deal is only good through Sunday, June 17. You'll get the gift card right at the register so essentially, you don't have to use it to get a new Vita game, even if that makes the most logical sense.

If you're wondering, we would suggest Uncharted: Golden Abyss , Rayman Origins , Gravity Rush , Wipeout 2048 , and Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (probably in that order). For a full breakdown of most Vita titles available, check out our comprehensive reviews .

Amazon is offering the same deal and since you don't get charged any tax I'd suggest that deal 🙂

Oh and $50 goes a lot further on Amazon then GameStop. Gawd I hate that store…

I guess it depends on where you are. I live in Washington and get charged tax. Either way I already got one hehehe.

This would have done better if Vita had a solid presence at E3.

i believe that every major retail outlet is giving out a $50 gift card or a free game this week. walmart gave out $50 gift card last week. i was thinking of getting one but the 4gb card seems too small for me and bigger ones are too expensive. frankly since i have ps plus, the memory card capacity is my main problem.

Love my Vita. Anyone on the fence. Would thoroughly recommend…

The big Vita titles are excellent but I am also having a bit of a PSP Renaissance.

Dragons Lair, Flow, GOW Ghost of Sparta, Final Fantasy Tactics. I feel like I've discovered downloadable games for the first time! Hated downloading on the PS3 but now can't stop on the Vita…

Played Sid Meier's Pirates! for 4 hours straight last night. Forgotten that it is Pirate crack!!!

not going to help much.
EB still has their price drops on both models, after they were suppose to be "one day only!".
there going to need to do a hell of allot more than a 50 dollar gift card to shift the excess stock!
