When I was a kid, remote-controlled cars were all the rage. And they're still pretty cool, I think.
What began as something the developers tooled around with during lunch breaks is now a full-fledged racing title for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. It's MotorStorm RC , and it'll be rarin' to go on March 6 in North America.
Game director Paul Rustchynsky spilled the beans over at the PlayStation Blog ; he calls it "the most exciting and addictive racing game" they've ever created. If you don't believe him, you can always try out the demo (which isn't ready now; it'll be up on the Store on launch day).
Fans of the franchise will recognize all sorts of great locations, like Monument Valley and Arctic Ridge, and we're looking at dozens of events and "a full festival championship." He even posted up a new gameplay video; check it out:
You know, that looks damn fun. The only simulator I really have time for these days is Gran Turismo (and it's good that it only shows up once every three or four years) and in between, I like me some simple arcade fun. This seems to fit the bill, yes?

MicroMachines much?
Yeeeaaaaah.
It looks INCREDIBLY fun, that's what it looks like. But "coming soon to PS Vita and PSN", does that mean it's for the PS3 too, as downloadable on PSN? Please say it is so…
(And RC is not just for kids. I got 12 RC cars and I'm 42 damnit! 😉

Yes this will be playable on the PS3.
Excellent!
RC PRO AM!
I'll look into this. 🙂

This reminds me of R.C. Pro-Am on the old NES. This is going to be a definite purchase for me. Specially since it's only $10 and you get both the Vita and PS3 version.
I guess this would explain why the PSN store updates have been getting lean !
