Ben-DutkaGarrett is back and he's out to do some thievin'.
The anticipated Thief reboot is scheduled to arrive next year for next-gen consoles and PC, and the developers have done a good job keeping us in the loop. Here's a great-looking gameplay trailer that reminds us that in truth, stealth is the bomb .
It's even more bad-ass when you're using it to lift priceless heirlooms out from under the noses of paranoid aristocrats. You stick to the shadows, utilize your inherent and otherworldly skills to disappear, quickly and silently overwhelm your opponents (if necessary), and make nary a sound while stealing supposedly unstealable treasure. The ambiance in this trailer is great; it's dark and foreboding, perfect for a thief's playground.
Stealth fans everywhere can't wait for this one to arrive.

Hell yeah. I even play Fallout stealthy. Traps, lockpicking, pickpockets, all the stealth/sneak perks maxed…

Oh yesh.
The whole time I played Dishonored, I thought I was playing a lesser version of Thief. That's why I quit playing Dishonored, because they were pretty similar games, and I enjoyed the Thief franchise so much more.
I'm with World and Beamboom, I always play stealthy klepto when I have the chance. I've never played any of the previous thief games, so I know this is probably blasphemous, but I still wish it was third person. Other than that it looks like it was made for me.

I always play stealthy in all games as well, in shooter games, m favorite weapon is a sniper. Stay far, stay stealthy, kill everyone. Finally, loot loot loot, steal steal steal.
As for the Thief games, well, I played all the previous ones.
And all I have to say is, Thief 4 will be a day one purchase without having to see any review or trailer for it.
Thief and Elders Scrolls, are the two type of games I would always get blindsighted.
Note: I just search blindsighted on Google to make sure how it's written, first 2 results were about Skyrim. So yeah, it's meant to be.
I like that the focus continues to seem to be placed squarely on stealth, and I also kind of like the look of the more action oriented sequences since they don't appear to encroach on the overall stealth gameplay, but rather augment it. It probably works out well with pacing of the story.
But, I thought we were getting an older bearded Garret. It's strange seeing and understanding that the city has grown and moved on but we still have a Garret that looks like he just got finished with Deadly Shadows adventure.
So hyped for a real stealth game. Its been so long since a decent one came out. Hitman Absolution wasn't a true stealth game as you had options. This is "go dark or get caught" and I love it. Shame the original didn't play any cutscenes. Otherwise I would have finished it, along with 2 and 3.
i'm pritty keen for this one its been on my next gen list since i saw it i was like i gotta get that game it looks awsome =D so yeah i'm getting it once i get some more money.
