Thief Golden, Celebrate With A New Trailer

It's done!

As Eidos Montreal producer Stephane Roy proudly proclaimed over at the PlayStation Blog , the hotly anticipated Thief reboot has gone gold. This means it's cleared to hit store shelves in the US on February 25.

They also tossed over a brand new trailer, which only made us want this game even more . You are the ultimate Master Thief and you must approach each task with a cool and steady hand. The shadows are your friend and if you wish to survive, you must be, for all intents and purposes, a ghost. This is the team that brought you the excellent Deus Ex: Human Revolution a few years ago, so we have faith that they'll deliver a memorable Thief experience!

Perhaps the best part of the post is this- "The game doesn't take gamers for idiots." This means that challenge stealth fanatics seek will most certainly be there!

Thief Gameplay Trailer: If It’s Valuable, I Can Steal It Away

Garrett is back and he's out to do some thievin'.

The anticipated Thief reboot is scheduled to arrive next year for next-gen consoles and PC, and the developers have done a good job keeping us in the loop. Here's a great-looking gameplay trailer that reminds us that in truth, stealth is the bomb .

It's even more bad-ass when you're using it to lift priceless heirlooms out from under the noses of paranoid aristocrats. You stick to the shadows, utilize your inherent and otherworldly skills to disappear, quickly and silently overwhelm your opponents (if necessary), and make nary a sound while stealing supposedly unstealable treasure. The ambiance in this trailer is great; it's dark and foreboding, perfect for a thief's playground.

Stealth fans everywhere can't wait for this one to arrive.

Thanks, Zak!

Pre-Order Thief, Score The Bank Heist

As if you need any added incentive to pre-order the game.

Square Enix has announced that those who decide to pre-order the anticipated Thief reboot will score an exclusive Bank Heist mission. Trailer below.

This will task the player with infiltrating the Stonemarket First Bank with the goal of lifting a priceless family heirloom, the Star of Auldale. The First Bank is described as a "heavily guarded and treacherous place" that is basically "impregnable," but Garrett and his amazing skills can get the job done. By the way, Square Enix says the mission is a "true homage" to the Bank mission in Thief II: The Metal Age .

Thief arrives for current- and next-gen consoles as well as PC on February 25, 2014. Is it on your list?
