Injustice Ultimate Edition Confirmed, Set For PS4 And Vita

One of the most entertaining fighting games of the year has earned a special edition.

Sony has announced that the Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition will launch for the PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox and PC on November 12. Having it available on the PlayStation 4 should be great for new owners of Sony's console!

The Ultimate Edition boasts all the previously released downloadable content for the game, which includes fresh characters like Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter and Zatanna. If you're wondering, the PS4 upgrade will be produced by High Voltage Software and it'll utilize the touchpad on the Dual Shock 4 controller. It won't be used for gameplay, though; you'll take advantage of the touchpad for video sharing and streaming. Said PlayStation digital platforms senior director Jack Buser:

"When developing Injustice on Vita, our primary goal was to make sure it could hold its own next to its console counterpart. The PS3 version has beautiful lighting, destructible environments, and–most importantly–60 FPS fighting. We worked tirelessly to bring this experience to the handheld, and pulled out all the stops to push the PS Vita as hard as we could to make all of the above happen."

It's also interesting to note that the Vita iteration is being handled by Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate developer Armature Studios. They just said they have another title on the way ; is this it? The Vita version of Injustice will feature ad-hoc multiplayer, traditional multiplayer via WiFi, and touch controls for Story Mode and various S.T.A.R. Labs Missions.

I'll only purchase it for the PS4 if I get some type of upgrade discount considering I just purchased it recently. Great game but not great enough to buy it twice.

Hmm the season pass of this game doesn't even give you all the dlc, hope this Ultimate Edition has all the dlc.

From what I've researched, the Ultimate Edition gives you ALL the DLC.

PS: I had to laugh when Ed Boon said this game won't be released on Xbone !

Any game for the Vita is welcomed. But please be careful Sony. I do not wish for the Vita to be dumped on with port after port. The Vita should command a much more comprehensive and compelling lineup of games. It is certainly capable of being more than a Port-O-Potty.

I wish that Sony will soon destroy all naysayers with a precision strike by announcing that they have an onslaught of EXCLUSIVE Vita games that will be strategically released within the next 2 years. Every 4-6 months announce monster titles. God of War. iNfamous. Gran Tourismo. Another Uncharted entry. Another Assassins Creed. GRAND THEFT AUTO! A "REAL" Call of Duty game. N E W I P! ! ! Monster Hunter???

Is it live? Or is it Memorex?
