Blizzard has confirmed that the upcoming Beta of Overwatch will begin on May 5 for PS4 and Xbox One players and will extend through May 9th.
Those who pre-ordered by April 29th, will gain early access to the Beta starting on May 3rd. The early bird gets the beta.
The specific times/dates are as follows;
Blizzard also let loose details about the content in the beta.
There are four different game modes and 12 different maps available in Overwatch
Game modes available include;
Overwatch supports up to 12 players in a 6v6 arrangement. There will be no cross platform play during beta, or at launch. No word on future possibilities.
Overwatch launches on May 24, 2016.

I love the personality the game has. Personality can make or break a competitive pseudo sport game for me. Something like Rocket League couldn't click with me because it basically had zero personality and no attitude, just grass, lifeless rocket cars and a floaty ball.
Can't speak for Overwatch's game play as I haven't played it. Every time I see it in action I ask myself why it's not from the third person. It seems to me a game that has focused so much on its characters would have you see them while you play.

Agreed. Third Person view would make a lot of sense with this.
Looks like a Borderlands ripoff to me which means I won't go within spitting distance of it. If it was third person then I would at least try the Beta.
