New Doom Trailer Highlights Massive Guns, Fearsome Foes

Bethesda has released a new trailer for the upcoming Doom reboot, and the new vid highlights the game's fearsome demons, power weapons and player power-ups, and it gives us a peek at the intimidating environments, too.

Demons on display in the trailer include the nightmarish Baron of Hell and the Prowler, and neither of them are gonna be pushovers. Thankfully, you've got all sorts of nifty tools at your disposal and it goes well beyond really big guns. You can also gain access to quad damage and invisibility (sweet!), which will definitely give you a much-needed leg up on the rampaging demon hordes.

As for the weapons, the BFG makes its triumphant return, and we get a peek at the chainsaw and gauss cannon. If you're tired of looking and waiting, have no fear: The closed multiplayer beta kicks off later this week (March 31) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We've already seen the 9 maps we'll sample in that test and really, they all look pretty damn cool.

If you pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order way back when, you're automatically granted access to the closed beta this week. Doom will be ready to rock on May 13.
