Fantastically-Named No Time To Explain Hits PS4 This Week

Why hadn't anybody thought of such a title before?

Hell, would've been a solid second choice for "Back to the Future." Anyway, developer tinyBuild got things going with a game called No Time to Explain back in 2011 and now, it's finally coming to PlayStation owners.

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the excellently-named indie title will land on PS4 on March 29. Yep, that's tomorrow. After a giant crab claw drags you off to another dimension, your future self drops a bizarre cannon/jetpack device on the floor, and you can use it to chase him down and attempt to save his life. Well, your life. …you probably have lots of questions now, huh?

Essentially, this is a 2D platformer with a twist: Your weapon is actually a movement mechanic. You can fire the cannon at foes but you can also fire it at the floor to boost yourself into the air and actually, it's your only way of surviving and progressing through the levels. Here's a bit more explanation from tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik:

"No Time to Explain is an extremely silly game, and the further you get into the game, the more ridiculous it becomes. Sometimes your weapon will change, or your hero will morph, or the world around you will make no sense, or maybe you’ll just get really fat and eat a bunch of cake? All bets are off, quite frankly."

Perhaps the best part is that you can play with up to four players, and we can always use another super fun co-op game! Check it out:
