It is pretty awesome to play as a giant monster and wreak havoc on cities and other monsters. There have been a few pretty decent giant monster games and they can be pretty exciting. City Shrouded in Shadow takes a different approach to the giant monster genre. You're the puny human running for your life.
Instead of playing the giant monster, you play as one of the people trying to survive the attack. From the looks of things there are going to be a lot of different kinds of monsters. Both Ultraman and Godzilla have been revealed ( thanks to an issue of Famitsu ) but most media for the game just shows giant shadows. Honestly they had my attention at Godzilla but I'm definitely intrigued about the concept.
You'll have to dodge falling debri and fires as you make your away through subways and broken buildings. All while trying not to get stepped on.
It is being developed by Granzella, which brought us another interesting survival game in Disaster Report. Bandai Namco will be be bringing City Shrouded in Shadow to Playstation 4 and Vita in Japan. As of right now there isn't an announcement for a U.S. release but hopefully we'll eventually see something over this way some day.
As soon as I started reading this article, I thought of Disaster Report right away & then you confirmed it, LOL.
I have Disaster Report in my PS2 collection, and for myself, I found it a pretty good & different genre of game, for it's time(2003).
See here's to hoping that SiS will become another good one too.

Reminds me of the movie named Cloverfield.
That movie changed me.
