Yet another accolade for one of the best video games of the generation.
The esteemed open-world action/RPG from CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , has won Game of the Year at the 2016 Game Developers Conference.
The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain led the way with four nominations each heading into the night; the other GotY contenders were Bloodborne , Fallout 4 and Rocket League . For the full list of nominees and winners (now bolded in each category list), visit GameSpot . CD Projekt Red's immersive RPG also won the award for Best Technology, while Her Story won the Innovation and Best Narrative Awards, Rocket League took home Best Design, Ori and the Blind Forest nabbed Best Visual Art, and Crypt of the NecroDancer won Best Audio.
If you're wondering, The Witcher 3 also won our overall 2015 Game of the Year (along with a few other nods), and the title has piled up quite the mound of hardware in recent months. Don't forget that the game's second huge expansion, Blood and Wine, is due out this year, and the first – Hearts of Stone – was absolutely fantastic.

Sad.
rest knowing FallOut 4 took home the prestigious DICE goty award earlier this year.
That's a start. Love my Fallout. Kept me sane through the winter.
Awesome I love it!! Im hoping we'll get a release date for Blood & Wine soon! I keep hearing about Her Story I feel like I need play it.
I need to take the time to finish this. I know I'm close. I just haven't had much time to dive into RPG's as of late.

I'm happy to own such a title and not have played.
Yay a GDC GOTY.
Look, friends, I have AWARD WINNING tastes!
I'm kinda sad that MGSV is not getting as much love as Fallout 4 and Witcher 3.
Sure MGSV doesn't feel like a real MGS but it's stil an amazing game.
