Ben-DutkaWe all know Rise of the Tomb Raider will eventually land on PlayStation 4, likely in time for next year's holiday rush.
It is indeed a long wait and I've long since admitted that I'm a tad jealous of Xbox One owners, and I doubt I'm the only PS4 owner to say that .
Now, the game is obviously great: It currently holds an impressive 86 Metacritic average , which is actually ahead of the much-ballyhooed Halo 5: Guardians and only a point or two off from the widely revered Fallout 4 (depending on which platform you check on Metacritic). But obviously, when Lara comes back to PlayStation, the game will feature some extra stuff, right? I'm sure we can expect downloadable content that would've arrived for the Xbox One version throughout the year, for example.
But what else can we expect from the "Ultimate" or "Definitive" Rise of the Tomb Raider ? C'mon, you know they're going to call it something like that. So, maybe it'll boast some other bonuses, like an extra area or mission or something…? Or perhaps we'll get some sort of exclusive weapon or other piece of equipment. I'm willing to bet that after the timed exclusivity for Xbox One, Sony wants to nail down some form of exclusive content for when RotTR finally comes to PS4.

I think the game looks really good. Should be a breath of fresh air. I hope it goes up against Uncharted 4. Im betting it beats it in sales.
It should considering it's releasing on two different consoles.
Considering it's sales so far though, I doubt it.

I hope not, Uncharted would slaughter it among PS fans and Tomb Raider does deserve some income to keep going aside from Microsoft's bribe money.
We can expect that the PS4 version outsells the 360 and XB1 versions combined.
Judging by some of the estimated numbers I have seen, it shouldn't be to hard.
Sucks that a game with a good metacritic score got poor sales and after almost a year until it arrives to PS4 they better put a lot of free cool stuff if they don't want to repeat the same scenario.
Well they chose to exclusively release on a console of FPS fans XD The PS brand has a much more diverse crowd. So well they did not want sales… MS just wanted some extra reason to get a little more systems to sell XD but by doing so I will not touch that game until it hits the 5-10$ bargain bin 😛

Yet PlayStation 4 is the console of choice for FPS this generation with Desnity, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 & Starwars Battlefront. So you may wanna rethink that statement 😉
Even if it had released this year, there's so many good games I probably would have passed. I'm not even sure I'll get it when it comes out.
For me, it's definitely the fact that it's going to be a totally better game overall.
I would be satisfied with a reduced price and/or when the game starts an apology letter pops up asking for my forgiveness.

I belive tha with that sale numbers ps4 version will be released much earlier (maybe in summer or after Uncharted 4). I want to believe that SE made a deal with MS about exclusivity if game can reach a certain sales number in certain time period and if game fails in sales, the other console version will be released much faster if they do not want to make a big losses, maybe steam sales will help, but piracy could make a some damage for sales and much safer way is simultaneously release both versions on the same day and best announcement place would be a ps experience.
Hope ur right about the sales, but I suspect MS wouldn't lock up a deal unless it as a timetable. I think it was 1 year. I'm hoping only 6 months.
Word has it that it's a one year timed exclusive. Apparently there's two more sequels planned with the same exclusivity for XO

Why buy a game again after i aready beat it once this year. I'll be too busy with uncharted 4 to care 🙂

$40 price tag, better graphics, better frame rate, every Lara outfit from every previous game especially classic booty shorts and low cut top.
I'll get it "new" depending on that price (which will not be $40) and if I can afford it.
My anger is mighty on this. I like TR more than Uncharted despite lower quality and with no adventure games on PS4 this season it's a double kick in the teeth, triple after the bribery.
I hope those pitiful sales continue through Xmas to show that these deals benefit nobody.
^^^^^This, and don't forget we should(hopefully) get a lot of extra DLC missions, for the backstabbing we got.
we should get a hand written apology from the developer/publisher for taking microsuck's dirty money so the game would be exclusive to the xbone for a year
