Did Prima Games Just Leak Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster?

It's not official yet but the evidence continues to pile up.

After the huge success of the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster , franchise producer Yoshinori Kitase has hinted at the prospect of remastering Final Fantasy XII .

Now, it seems Prima Games may have leaked the truth (via Gearnuke ). Prima gave us a sneak peek at a group of upcoming strategy guides for a collection consisting of Final Fantasy X , X-2 and XII . The intriguing part is how they talk about HD screenshots…and of course, FFXII was never available in HD on PS2. Sure, the game looked amazing for the time but high-definition video games for consoles were still looming on the horizon; that hadn't yet become a reality.

The screenshot they show off is clearly an update of a pre-rendered cut-scene, so this is pretty definitive. Maybe the only question left is, when will Square Enix officially reveal Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster ?

Cool. Though I'm not ready to play through this one again. I felt it was too grind heavy, and it felt somewhat distant from many of the main characters.
But it was better than FFXIII

another hot remaster is rumored to be released soon on PS4 and XO. The Bioshock Collection. Woo Hoo!

Even the original Bioshock still looks fantastic on PC (and probably 360 though I barely ever touched that version) so I'm not sure how necessary that one is compared to older stuff on PS2.

Look at those on-field battles, people walking around like idiots, no where near as fluently dramatic as a classic FF matchup.

Yes because people lining up against monsters and taking slow turns attacking each other like it's a revolutionary war battle with muskets is so fluent and dramatic 😛

FFXII IMO had the best battle system by far. Would absolutely love to play this game again in HD on my Vita. I only played it once, but I spent far, far more time on my initial playthrough with it than any other FF game (~130 hours).

Word, World.

I never even finished XII. Only major numbered title I never finished. (Although, can one finish the online games?)

I would sort of welcome this to be remade. I hate having to rebuy things, but I never actually owned this game and never got far into it by borrowing it from friends.
