I'm hearing that people are spending a ridiculous amount of time with the newly released Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain , which is understandable. It's absolutely huge and oh yeah, it's pretty damn good, too.
But up to this point, which game has earned most of your attention and time thus far this generation?
It's hard for me to say exactly because so few of the games in contention don't count exact hours. I guess it's probably The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , even though I have no clue how many hours I dropped into it (the game only counts days, and given that you meditate a zillion times, that days played number is irrelevant). I'm guessing it had to be close to 120 hours, though, as I did absolutely everything (including the DLC) and hit Lv. 37 with all Mastercrafted Wolven armor and nothing left to kill. Well, until the first expansion comes out.
I also put a lot of time into inFamous: Second Son , Super Mega Baseball and Assassin's Creed Unity . But a lot of my favorite games of the generation have been on the shorter side, so even though they didn't rack up a lot of hours, they still rank high on my list. Experiences like Bastion, The Order: 1886, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and the recently released Until Dawn keep me loving games.
How's about you?
It's a tie between Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and, surprisingly, Knack.
Its easily Dragon Age: Inquisition. Dumped about 400 hours into it with all of the the different play throughs + DLC.
for me its either Destiny or Dragon Age: Inquisition. Probably about 100 hours in both of those
Bloodborne and the upcoming Fallout 4 🙂
The Handsome Collection and Elder Scrolls Online so far. I've spent a decent amount of time with Destiny as well, but no where near the other two titles.

What's the handsome collection?
Borderlands 2 the handsome collection world.
It's the upgraded to new console versions of Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, and all of the dlc and expansions.
oh okay. Handsome.
Omega Quintet. Even though I'm not a huge fan of super long visual novel RPGs I just couldn't stop powering up all these moves and combos to unleash in real turn based combat. As long as there's a good system behind it and plenty of dramatic moves that mechanic never gets old.
None of the mainstream games really had me wanting to play for very long so far. I did play Dragon Age to its awful end cuz I forced myself to keep playing hoping it would get good somewhere.
I've had a great time with the two Wolfenstein games but that was on old hardware. Great imitation of old school FPS.
Destiny. That'll change when Rainbow Skies and Dark Souls 3 come out.
Battlefield 4. For sure.
I have three characters on Bloodborne two of them have around 120 hours and one has 3 hours. So definitely Bloodborne.
But Fallout 4 will probably consume most time as once I feel like I've explored the world to my wandering hearts content, I'll build a town thing. Thats going to take days of time to do especially with how precise things get with electricity and stuff.
Dark Souls 2 without a doubt. Closely followed by Destiny. These are the two games I just always tend to fall back on when I can't decide what to play. I kinda have burned myself out on both games though. I keep saying I'll go back and finish GTAV and Watchdogs, Elder Scrolls Online and some TellTale games I've started but always go back to DS2 and Destiny. It's quite annoying.
Destiny by a long way, nearly 700 hours now. Also spent about 100 or so in Inquisition.
1. GTAV
2. Bloodborne
3. Batman AK
This will change now when MGSV is out.
It pains me to say this but Rainbow Moon has soaked up more hours then I will admit. Still haven't completed it, but that game will meet it's demise soon enough.
For the most part The witcher was the first game this gen I couldn't go to bed on time for.
The Phantom Paine is making good pace to be in the lead at the moment.
Destiny is way out in front. I'd gander Bloodborne, DOA5 LR, and AC4 BF are somewhere behind it but next to the top.

1) Bloodborne
2) Dragon Age
3) TLOU
4) GTA 5
5) Second Son
All soon to be replaced by Fallout 4. No doubt.
Destiny by a long shot on the PS4.
Worth noting: Ace Combat on the PS3.
It's got to be Destiny followed by Driveclub for me. And yes, I have to agree that games like Until Dawn are seriously re-inventing gaming for me, personally.
Easily Destiny. I'm at 1200+ hours. And counting.
*walks self over to the embarrassment corner*
Hm… thus far:
1. GTAV (PS4)
2. Minecraft (PS4)
3. Styx: Master of Shadows
4. Rocket League
5. Terraria (PS4)
Games that will change this:
1. Star Ocean 5
2. Disgaea 5
3. Fallout 4
4. No Man's Sky
5. Rainbow Six Siege
6. Horizon Zero Dawn
And others that I'm forgetting at the moment.
Driveclub 🙂
