Ben-DutkaYes, it's coming back. But like it or not, it has received a definite face-lift.
We'd heard rumors that the Call of Duty fan-favorite multiplayer map, Nuketown, would return in this year's Black Ops III . Now, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have confirmed that this is true, but changes are afoot.
They've completely reworked the Nuketown map; it's now called "Nuk3town" and it will try to take advantage of the new entry's fresh movement mechanics. Said Treyarch boss Mark Lamia:
"We carefully adapted the design of the map to make sure that it fit with our new movement system, but to also make sure that we retained the spirit and the fun that made fans fall in love with it in the first place."
Nuke3town will be available with launch copies of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC copies on November 6 and if you're wondering, no, it will not be available in the PS3 and Xbox 360 iterations. Just another reason to have one of the new consoles, right?
For a little background, Nuketown was originally seen in the first Black Ops game in 2010; the map then reappeared in Black Ops II a couple years later. But Nuk3town will be a whole different beast!

You know I played the open beta for about 20 minutes just to try to understand why millions of players play COD every year and I kept saying to myself… This mindless… How can anyone play this? Of course I don't mean to disrespect anyone that does but needless to say that I felt like my PS4 was tainted.

I played it after not playing since my first and only COD – WaW (way too much) and: the controls are super tight, everything is smooth, momentum in the play-styles and tactics is strong.
I played the beta too for about 20mins while its quick action does have a high skill cap and can be fun I concluded that the game is literally the same as all the previous cod games. I dont get how people can keep playing it year after year when its literally the same thing. Dont get me wrong I love cod4 and mw2 and put alot of time into playing them online and off but after being a big fan of the first few ps3 ones it just grew tiresome to see them lazily barely change anything when bringing out sequels.

Zombies with that bad ass laser gun from the 1950's, hiding in the corner 4 players deep, taking on wave after wave of zombies. Yeah I'm in.
Not gonna lie… Don't really like the whole exo-suit nonsense in a CoD game.
