Next Street Fighter V Beta Begins With “Stress Tests”

Okay, let's try this again.

Publisher Capcom has announced its new plans for a Street Fighter V PlayStation 4 beta in North America, Europe and Asia.

The new test will be rolled out on a territory-by-territory basis, as a "series of region-specific stress tests." This will begin in Europe on August 20 (today) between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m. UK time. The second session will run tomorrow, August 21, between the same times. Other territories will follow depending on the results of the European test; said Capcom in a statement:

"When we are confident with the results from this test, we will share the dates and times for North America and Asia’s region specific tests. Once we have successfully completed each regional stress test, we will announce the dates and times of the official global beta test."

Now, this isn't the full beta, of course. The stress tests are just the beginning and once those tests have been passed, a "global beta test will still take place for the previously promised five-day stretch." Originally, this began on July 23 but it was so problematic, Capcom eventually had to take the servers down .

is set to launch some time early next year.

I don't participate in betas where I have to preorder. If the greedy bastards wont have a true OPEN BETA like Destiny then they can kiss my ass.

End of line.
