If you're still a fan of Japanese titles, this is very good news.
Major Japanese developers and publishers like Koei Tecmo, Bandai Namco and Sega have started localizing their games for western markets, and DualShockers asked legendary Koei Tecmo producer Kenichi Ogasawara about this new trend.
Ogasawara said that while localizing Japanese games is a complex process (and it "takes a long time to get that right"), he added that these days, Japanese products are better accepted in western markets. Additionally, PlayStation 4 sales remain a little sluggish in the Land of the Rising Sun; it seems that while many gamers in western regions have made the generational jump, lots of Japanese gamers are sticking with the PS3 for now.
And because of this, publishers "don't really need to gain a high percentage of the much bigger current-gen market in the west to make similar sales." When you add all this together, it means more localization of Japanese-centric productions.
That should satisfy some of you, yes?
I really hope we get more visual novels I feel Danganronpa and some recent indie efforts on Steam shownthat style can succeed over here. The PSP, Vita, and PS3 were flooded with so many of them I recently noticed we are getting Stein's Gate for Vita next month which I found really cool may pick it up if I have some spare cash.
What I really wish we got was the PS3 remastered version of Higurashi instead of the remake of the original PC release without audio, Higurashi is CREEPY as hell FYI, it has an animated series and it's the only non-live action series that has given me legit chills highly recommend it for lovers of thriller and psychological horror.

cool ill look up the anime
Give us Yakza 5 or gtfo
This guy gets it.
Its not that complex if u build the game with that in mind. Fans do their own localizations for petes sake.
This is great news tho, they always have games I want that are more interesting than these same old same old western ones. Plus it allows for JRPGs.
thats definatly a good thing for us who aren't in japan for those games we'd like.
happy gaming
