Street Fighter V Beta Shuts Down, Is Officially Postponed

It started off bad and didn't really get any better.

At first, Capcom apologized for all the problems with the Street Fighter V beta, saying they'd extend the test . But now it seems like we'll have to wait until they've gotten things fixed.

According to an unfortunate update on the Capcom Unity blog , the beta in question has been delayed until a later date. Associate Producer Pete Rosas said this beta doesn't really count as a real test, and the game will actually have three more betas in the future.

He also added:

"We understand how frustrating it is to be so close to playing the game you are excited for, and to not have it working. The whole team here is very disappointed that we were unable to deliver a proper beta experience this time. Thank you so much for your continued support, and we promise that we will have a better experience for you with the future betas."

The beta tried to get going the night of July 23 but server issues immediately reared their ugly heads. It just went downhill from there so yeah, obviously this game needs more testing.
