The Street Fighter V beta didn't get off to the greatest start .
Capcom was forced to take down the servers a mere hour after the beta began, resulting in plenty of irate fighting fans.
The news didn't get much better over the weekend, as the servers were once again taken offline on Sunday. The only good news is what the company announced via Twitter , that due to the extended maintenance, they're extending the beta beyond the original July 28 end date. They didn't say how much longer the test will run but hey, at least it's something.
This isn't entirely altruistic on Capcom's part, either. Without much activity in the beta, the developers haven't managed to get much in the way of feedback, which is what a beta is for . Let's see if they can get it right ASAP.

Remember, this beta is all about server functionality and netcode checks. Feedback from players may be lacking, however, I'm sure it has been highly educational and useful for Capcom regardless.
Getting server issues worked out is just as important as checking netcode.
And that's one of the reasons why I didn't pre-order. It seems like Capcom cannot get anything right nowadays.
Very disappointing.
