Yeah, we know. You really want more gameplay information for the huge and ambitious PlayStation 4 exclusive, No Man's Sky .
Thankfully, Hello Games managing director Sean Murray has offered a bunch of new details in a recent IGN interview .
Murray talked trading and crafting, and player freedom in regards to interacting with the game's economy. If you want to land on any given planet, gather materials, and craft those materials into something useful, go right ahead. What you create can be either used or sold for in-game currency. However, they won't be giving you formulas to follow; you have to figure out functional combinations of various chemical elements. Sounds a little intimidating…
However, that isn't the only way to make money. You can earn funds simply by touring the universe in your spaceship; there's a free-market economy, so certain items have different prices at different ports. This means you can simply fly back and forth, buying low and selling high, without ever visiting any planets.
Lastly, it's important to note that AI-controlled characters will exist, and they'll travel between planets and ports, bringing in items and various materials that can be sold and traded. Said Murray:
"I often like to just sit there [in space]. It's quite nice… you get to sit there and watch the trade economy in motion."
Sounds too MMOish to me but to others, it could be catnip. No Man's Sky is scheduled to launch later this year, and we could really use a release date!
Stop talking about this game, it ruins the mystery and people just want it out.
I know. Why don't they just announce a release date already. The more I see Sean Murray and his always smiling face as he talks about the game the less I want the game!

Hmmmmm soooo AI controlled ships carrying lots of loot to ports, welp I know how I am going to make my money.
I have high hopes for this game, that's for sure. Now while I would like the game to come out, I have no problem waiting to make sure the title is released bug free.
sounds good to me thats the way an economy should work econ101 supply and demand so there is going to be different thing priced differently that shouldn't be a surprise tbh really
happy gaming
