John-ShepardThe Just Cause franchise has a deep modding community, and developer Avalanche Studios wants to take advantage.
Just Cause 3 game director Roland Lesterlin told GameSpot that the team might bring mods to consoles.
The team has been working to expand mod availability. When Lesterlin was asked about Fallout 4 's mod support on Xbox One, and if Avalanche had similar plans, he responded:
"We're not announcing anything there yet, but… we would want to support [mods] as much as possible."
Fallout 4 mods will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it's hardly out of the question to get Just Cause 3 mods for the same consoles. It would also be that much more appealing to console consumers, even if they haven't had much experience with the modding community.
Just Cause 3 is slated to release on December 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
