If PlatinumGames is behind it, it's gonna rock.
Activision Publishing has announced Transformers: Devastation , in development at the studio that gave us such action gems as Bayonetta and Vanquish . Starring the Transformers Generations characters, this is a third-person action/brawler with a beautiful comic book-inspired art style.
Dubbed an "incredibly dynamic, combo-fueled experience," players take to the battlefield as one of five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack and Grimlock. You will unlock new skills, forge new weapons, and upgrade your characters so you can emerge victorious in your ongoing war with the Decepticons. The story has been inspired by the IDW comic book universe, so it should be pretty good.
Transformers: Devastation is expected to launch for all major platforms later this year.

sure ill check it out
Man so much amazing news yesterday this one almost slipped by unnoticed. I've been hoping for a proper, 80s-style transformers game since those awful new movies started hitting theaters. Very interested in this, especially with Platinum at the helm.
Waste of talent.
What talent?
awesome. I've always wanted someone do this with Robotech again. I loved the original, but it could really benefit from the way controls are done today. And of course the graphical polish and what not
But, who cares?
Ben, I wouldn't be too sure about that "gonna rock" statement. I got burned by Platinum on their crappy Legend of Korra game that I thought was "gonna rock" because of their pedigree. I think I will just wait for the reviews this time around.
WTF is this??? No Fall of Cyberton sequel???
not sure this would be my type of transformers game
happy gaming
