Developer Insomniac Games has released a new trailer and new gameplay for Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4, which looks downright amazing .
This isn't your ordinary HD remake. The team only used the original title as a foundation; they're also adding new content and working in new segments of the story from the movie (which also debuts in April). In addition to the wonderfully updated visuals, fans can expect new bosses, weapons, and whole new planets to explore. We'll even get a new "modernized" control scheme.
The weapons were always the focal point, as far as I'm concerned. Who can forget the Groovitron or the Bouncer from Going Commando ? Insomniac is the king of awesome arsenals.

I'm feeling PS pride with this one.
The graphics tech impresses me a lot.
And look! vegetation appears to be 3D modeled.
I'd love for insomniac to have a tech interview telling us how they handled the ps4 for this.

btw, PSN pre-order is already up. Surprisingly the game is only $40. I was prepared to pay $60.

Next-gen platform is finally meeting the PS4. This art style never ceases to amaze. Art, modelling and animation teams need salary increase.

I agree with u fareez. I would love naughty dog if they did something with sly like whts being done with ratchet
Day one. I never played the first one, I only played the PS3 ones and they were stellar.
So am I correct in understanding this is a remake of the first game, like the Gamecube remake of Resident Evil?
Visuals are great but I still have a grudge with this series. Implementing the focus of shooting really broke the Platforming genre as a whole. Then when Jak II came along and took influence from R&C it was over – Which is a shame as I regard Jak & Daxter 1 to be one of the finest platforming experiences ever.

hahaha! "based on the game" It's shaping up to be a great time in the gaming world. There are a lot of good games on there way and we're not even up to E3 yet.

i can't tell you how pumped i was when i saw this so so so keen for this been waiting for rachet to appear on the ps4 for ages, its one of my all times favs. it really put a big grin on my face and made feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
this will defintately buy this day 1 if i can it'll be really hard to dig to to get it when it comes out.
