As promised, Activision officially revealed this year's Call of Duty effort this weekend.
In development at Treyarch, Black Ops III features a futuristic setting and plenty of sci-fi-like gadgetry and general goodness.
The debut trailer is below and it's over two minutes of drama, bombastic set pieces, and glimpses of compelling, fast-paced gameplay. Some of what we see appears new and refreshing, even though there's no denying the franchise's classic first-person shooter roots. We also get a launch date, which won't surprise anyone: The mammoth title drops on November 6.
How do you think it will fare when it goes up against Star Wars: Battlefront this holiday season? And what do you think of this trailer? Encouraging?

It looks good, but I'm just not into this futuristic stuff. I'm actually craving another good WWII shooter.
I know graphics ain't everything but wow is this bad.
Actually the last cod looked pretty good on ps4.
Yeah that sucks. I had some hype for this game because I really liked Black Ops 2 but no more. Black Ops 3 looks like a continuation of Advanced Warfare, which I did not care for one bit.
