It'll be one of the biggest games of 2015 when it arrives.
Yesterday during the Star Wars Celebration, publisher Electronic Arts came forward with a boatload of new information for the highly anticipated Star Wars: Battlefront .
First, the launch date: DICE's ambitious title will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in North America on November 17, and it'll be available in Europe two days later. Second, they showed off the first official full-length trailer for the game, which you can see below. Third, there's a bunch of gameplay info, including the fact that Battlefront will use DICE's famed Frostbite engine.
Also, because they've teamed up with Lucasfilm, the title in question will "deliver an incredibly authentic and immersive interactive entertainment experience featuring photorealistic visuals and epic action in iconic Star Wars locations." As for gameplay, you can check out a brief summary here ; it includes vehicles, settings, and characters.
We'll be able to do a little of everything, including flying TIE fighters and racing along on speeder bikes. Locations include Endor, Tatooine, and a previously unexplored planet called Sullust, and iconic characters like Darth Vader and Boba Fett will be part of the adventure. As for multiplayer, fans will enjoy 40-person modes and specially "crafted missions" that can be played solo, cooperatively online, or via split-screen offline. Sadly, there is no full campaign option, as the game is designed specifically for multiplayer.

They had nothing of a campaign either.
The franchise never needed a campaign.

Wish there was a campaign… not everyone is into multiplayer. The visuals look great.
BF2 didn't have a "campaign," but it did allow one to play through levels solo. One could even set the order, mission type and location.
Destiny taught me an expensive lesson, I won't buy another online-only game.
