Advanced Warfare Ascendance Comes To PlayStation On April 30

Yeah, PlayStation gamers always get Call of Duty DLC a month late. Well, at least Ascendance is right around the corner now.

Activision has announced that the latest expansion for the well-received Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC on April 30.

Ascendance first came to Xbox platforms as a result of the ongoing exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft. Anyway, the new DLC will be free if you've already purchased the $50 DLC Pass. Otherwise, you'll have to fork over $15. Included with this round of extra content:

Four new multiplayer maps: Perplex, Site 244, Climate, and Chop Shop.

Exo Zombies Chapter Two: "Located on the outskirts of an Atlas facility, the new Exo Zombies episode introduces a slew of never-before-seen undead masses, a robust arsenal of new traps and armaments and everyone's favorite fast food joint, Burgertown."

New weapons: The OHM directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid and the OHM Werewolf custom variant. These weapons are available now for DLC pass owners.

New playlist called Exo Grapple: "Exo Grapple gives players a faster way to reach strategic vantage points or a brutal secondary weapon to take down the competition, exclusively on Ascendance maps."

Awesome. The new maps come out in two weeks and the ones from the last expansion still aren't in the hardcore search and destroy rotation. They usually hold off a little till enough people have them, but never this long. I'll be pissed if I'm paying for maps I'll never be able to use because of my preferred game mode.
