Well, yeah, the line didn't really work.
If you've played DmC: Devil May Cry , you're familiar with the sexually suggestive themes and language. But when you play the Definitive Edition (launching this week), you might notice a missing line in an early cut-scene.
Eurogamer first noticed it: Mundus is telling his mistress Lilith about his evil plan for the world. At one point, Lilith says, "The world is at last your bitch. As am I. Nothing left but to grab it by the hair, bend it over, and f…" Well, in the updated version, she just says, "The world is at last your bitch."
Developer Ninja Theory clarified the reasons behind this small change to GameSpot :
"We did make an edit to the opening cut scene. It wasn't a case of censorship as there are far more suggestive scenes in the game.
We felt that scene in particular drags on a little bit for the opening sequence and frankly, we didn't like the line. Those few seconds were irrelevant to the scene and is covered effectively in a later scene where Mundus is metaphorically shafting world leaders."
But there's also a "brand new cut-scene" to look forward to, and don't forget that the developers worked hard to make this new iteration of the game better than ever. Even if you already played it back in 2013, the Definitive Edition might still be well worth your time.

Probably had something to do with those damn feminists and sjw's (again) bitching about that line in the game. First they whine about Elizabeth's bust size in Bioshock Infinite, then the title of GOW Ascentions trophy, then the lack of desire demons in DA:I, and now this!!
This crap needs to stop and we need to start dealing blows back at those insane social groups trying to censor everything. They act like they can just dip their hand into everybody's business. Time to cut off their hand.

Elizabeth's bust?
What's wrong with it?
I'm too busy watching Lei Fang and Kasumi to notice them 😉
Well, jokes aside, I never knew about the issues you mentioned O_O
Except that Ninja Theory already explained why they changed it, and if you've actually played the game you'd agree with them that it's not even close to the most suggestive or otherwise sexual line/scene/animation in the game.
She has a nice bust, but those people should be reminded even small busts were made more prominent in those days due to corsets and open tops 🙂
The game is still M-rated so I'm not sure how this would make any difference.
It's not like by removing sexual and suggestive lines makes it ok for kids to play.
Did anyone read the explanation by Ninja Theory that Ben posted? It has nothing to do with censorship and everything to do with pacing. If they were going for something else they'd have to completely redo several scenes throughout the game, change entire bosses, etc.
Clearly no one clicks on the links. Holy crap. Just like bio posted several times before. It is due to pacing and not a "feminist" issue. The link is there for a reason. Holy crap!
Most gamers who complain of sexual/sexist censorship are 12yo to ~35yo males who couldn't get laid if their life depended on it, so either feel they need it as their only outlet or have adopted those misogynistic attitudes out of bitterness…or both.
Except that's really not the case and says alot about your disingenuous assertions. People like you keep throwing around that misogynistic word and its beyond tired and repetitive and most importantly false in the cases used.

While he went too far with his commentary, it's pretty sad how hard people rage at the suggestion that maybe games are really pretty sexist and misogynistic, because games, more than any other popular entertainment media, are really pretty sexist and misogynistic.
What's worse is that games could only get better if those issues were addressed, not worse. If the games industry stopped treating women like prizes and/or sexpots to be objectified, we could start allowing for more diverse characterization in the media. We'd get more female characters like Boss, or Samus, and fewer characters like (insert named pair of boobs from Dead or Alive here).
So it does come to a point when some of us start wondering why some of you fight so hard to 'protect' all the worst qualities of the medium. Personally I don't think it's because you're "a loser who can't get laid", I just think it's because some people have an issue with their hobby expanding beyond their set, narrow expectations of what it should be.
Unfortunately for people like you, Lone, gaming is only going to get less sexist, more diverse. Personally I'd embrace it and look forward to the opportunities it will bring you to enjoy better, more fully realized stories, characters and games in general.
yeah i guess so i think the original quote was kinda funny to those of us who can get it but sure make it more family friendly theres enough trash out there to deal with these so good on them for that and it doesn't really add anything to the story line from what i can remeber from watching a friend play it on PC but yeah sure do what you think is best thats ur call as the devs
happy gaming
Its an M-rated game fool. Its also called freedom of expession, freedom of speech.Their not doing what is best in those situations, they're being bullied by these groups and forced into changing things that they have no right to bullied into changing it.

Can't wait to get this today, not keep on changing dialogue but I won't raise hell about it. the quote dragged.
keep=keen
@Bio They say thats the reason, but in reality they are just stating it that way to stay neutral with the community. In other words they're lying to save face. Same exact excuse was used for the lack of desire demons in Dragon Age Inquisition.
Dont' believe me? Do some research, i.e. check Twitter,Neogaf,Reddit,Feminist forums, etc. You'll find the people who were involved stating it and people on the other side of the fence having discussions about it.
If you want to play conspiracy theorist, go ahead. It doesn't jive with what happened, here, like at all, but that never stopped you guys before, has it?

is there even sex in Inquisition? all i get is makeout in the garden.
@Bio It's not diversity and equality you're talking about. We go down the route you're talking about and everything will end up being the same. Branding everything misogynistic and sexist just because a woman shows skin or a guy comments on a girls looks is flat out ridiculous!
We've had this conversation before and we are never going to agree with each other. What the real issues are is there are guys AND gals who are pigs, then there is people like you who would chastise normal people who have a normal attraction to people that are not sexist or misogynistic, yet brand them the same as the pigs and shun any sexualness in society like some mad catholic priest.
Finally there are normal people with normal needs who don't deserve this kind of crap from those groups. You speak of equality, but in fact what people like you really hope to achieve is neutering and subjugation of all men.Your ideal is just fascist and corruption cloaked in a false justification. That is why people like me fight it. We see through your deception.
We are never going to give up our liberties and we wont stop fighting it. Plain and simple truth for those who have the eyes to see it, is you, most feminists, and the false social justice warriors need to give up your false crusade of justice. That is all.

I wish they would remove this game from DMC mould. It's an embarrassment to the series imo.
