Hey, shotguns rule. Well, when up close and personal, at any rate.
In a new The Order: 1886 gameplay trailer seen at the official PlayStation Japan YouTube channel, protagonist Galahad takes on a series of enemies with a trusty and powerful shotgun.
We've got about two minutes of straight gameplay and while the language is in Japanese, it's great to see the intense action. This particular segment is aboard the Agamemnon airship and it's close-quarters fighting, so a shotgun comes in awfully handy. Enemies die fast when hit with that thing.
The new PlayStation 4 exclusive from Ready at Dawn has gone gold and is scheduled to launch on February 20. It could end up being one of the very best games of the year…

I don't think this gameplay trailer is new. I watched it some time ago.
Looking at the video a second time around I will say that it looks like you can sneak yourself around and melee the enemies without using a single bullet.
Yeah, I think they showed this (in english) last month around the time of the Playstation Experience or shortly thereafter. Still looks good though.

I'm curious if that melee take down in the video was context based on the fact the enemy was reloading his gun. That's a pretty cool idea if it is.
Sorry, but if I ran into a kitchen and there was a whole lot of frying pans hanging from the ceiling by their handle at my left but there were also armed bad guys at my right… I'd have to first shoot them frying pans just to see if they'd react realistically.
(it's like part of any self respecting gamer to also shoot bodies of water that don't have any bearing on the game play just to see if the water reacts. The game always gets kudos from me when it does. It's like, "yea, they even thought of that.")
the sound effects seem great btw.

Ijust hope this doesn't turn out to be your average thurd person shooter. The setting seems to be promising though. Graphics are beautiful too.
Ah crap. Hate to admit this but that trailer really sparked my interest. If the reviews are good this may be the ko punch that kills my March or even Feb.
Sssooooooooo is Sony gonna start advertising this game or will they continue tradition and reserve a few bulletin boards for this first party release…come on Sony…
Anywho, game looks great, but still, what are we getting ourselves into here….I guess I will have to wait until your review
looks pritty good, pritty keen for this game
happy gaming
