But as a thank you for sticking with the service during the tough time, Sony previously announced a 10 percent discount.
At the time, however, they didn't provide us with any details, such as a start date. Now we've got them, as announced over at the PlayStation Blog . The 10 percent discount deal will run from 9:00 a.m. PST on January 23 through 9:00 a.m. on January 26. You'll get a one-time promotion code and it can be used on all "eligible items," which we assume will be just about anything on the PSN.
Furthermore, for those Plus members impacted by the service fiasco, they've started to roll out the 5-day Plus membership extension. You don't have to do anything; you'll just receive an email confirming the details of that extension.
Is this appreciated or do you think Sony should've done more? …or do you think they weren't obligated to do anything?
Will preorder Uncharted and Until Dawn.
I don't think they are obligated to give us anything as they were the victims here. Maybe just the plus extension as I could see people being miffed about that. But I think it's a classy move and will take full advantage.

All eligible items… so not anything I desire off the store… hmmm, admittedly 10% hardly seems worth it in all honesty.
Extending Plus, yes. 10% off no. Of course the greed in me wants more free games like Welcome Back, but that's just ridiculous, since PSN was down for so short a time this time.

They owed us nothing. That's like blaming the victim for being a victim. Still, Sony has gone a long way this gen towards fixing their rep from last gen. Not too much I actually want but I guess my daughter will finally get DisFinity 2.0
Honestly 10% isn't enough to get me to buy those "on the fence" games I'm thinking about. I'll eventually get that or more off thru PS+.
