Sony and Square Enix will deliver a limited edition PlayStation 4 unit to celebrate the upcoming release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD . It's only confirmed for Japan, of course.
The system boasts a slick red and black color scheme and a similarly-styled DualShock 4 controller, and the package will include the game in question and a download code for the oft-mentioned Final Fantasy XV demo. According to Siliconera , the console will be available on March 19, 2015 for ¥46,980 (about $392). Don't forget that getting Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is currently the only way to play the FFXV demo.
But how come we don't get awesome console designs like this? 🙁

The drab red doesn't look very good with the black faceplate – I'd certainly take the black faceplate on a black console though.

I'm gettin Type 0 to get a preview of the battle system in XV, it's supposedly what they used as a starting point.
The Type-0 battle system is essentially the Crisis Core battle system from everything I heard so just take a look at that if you have not already.
i loved that one, but Type 0 sure doesn't look like that in the vids.
No, this is not the same system as Crisis Core. This system lets you use 2 combat abilities, normal attack, and 1 defensive ability, per character. There are combinations that use the analog stick in a certain direction to change the attack.
It doesn't resemble true red but I like that burgundy color with that black portion faceplate just not the fancy ff graphics.
its a nice console i think some would some come to the west would be nice but i don't think si i'm not a optimist on this one

Ben why do you want so many different colors? Do you usually collect multiples of the same console because it looks different or do you actually prefer colorful colors in your set up?
In business sense it's actually costly if it isn't done right to offer too many colors. It'd have to be limited editions or custom orders, cause companies save huge money on bulk productions. This will work for Japan but it wouldn't do well anywhere else I don't think.
