Just ignore this new trailer for the upcoming Silent Hills game because if you don't, you'll suffer through more sleepless nights. If, however, you're just not prone to such problems, this is well worth checking out.
The new teaser for the horrifying game from Hideo Kojima and film director Guillermo del Toro is here, and it features the same claustrophobic hallway setup as the demo. More crazy crap happens, though, and none of it is pleasant. In fact, it's all exactly the opposite of pleasant; it's a legitimate nightmare and not fit for anyone under the age of…uh…97.

Looking good but I'm super sad that the traditional third person approach with a haunted city instead of corridors has been abandoned. I'll be getting this for sure but the truth is a great franchise has died with this game's birth.
I don't know homie…we still know next to nothing about the game in question, so the truth is yet to be seen. This game has the silent hill 4: the room vibe nailed down pat, and to me that was the best one in the series as far i'm concerned.

I'm with you though World, I want/expect third person for survival games.
So the whole game will be in first person?…. I have to admit the concept doesn't thrill me…

Stay the **** out of buildings.
And its SH4 dudes. You got the first person whilst indoors and 3rd person outdoors. Judging it already makes you all Divas. Are you divas?

Nice that it used the same scream for the game System Shock 2 around the 1:04 mark. That scream was used for the first person you see alive in that game as she was running away from the creature chasing her.
Personally, I don't really care if this is third or first person, at least we're getting a proper SH.
Just look at the old survival horror franchises, all dead or abandoned, Fatal Frame, Resident Evil, Dead Space FFS!
