This is the problem with certain clueless gamers thinking a beta is the final product.
Some fans criticized developer Bungie for the fact that every planet in Destiny will only have one location to explore. The studio tried to explain that each location will offer a ton of gameplay, and they'll get even bigger with future downloadable content.
Truth be told, Bungie was shocked that people were saying the game might be too small. As director of production Jonty Barnes told Eurogamer :
"If I'm honest with you, it blew my mind, because it's the biggest game we've ever made. I don't think people understand the depth and amount of gameplay there is in Destiny."
He added that people were making these judgments based on the beta, which of course doesn't make any sense: "I don't understand how people could have that concern when you think about that and all the different planets we're going to open up and the gameplay we've got there." The bottom line, however, is that Destiny will be huge and unsurprisingly, it's the biggest game Bungie has ever made.
Yeah, well, you can't please everyone, anyway.
Too many entitled gamers who think they know better than the developers who made the game.
Akuma is VERY smart. 100% agree.
No sarcasm by the way.

To be fair the one location in the beta was small so if they extrapolated then all worlds would be small. As to the last statement, Bungie games aren't all that big to begin with.
Anywho I'm not worried about the size, only the DLC they want me to pay for to get that size.
Hey World, can we hook up when this launches? You've been my friend on the psn for years but we never played together.
speaking as someone who knows better than the developers, having only one area on earth does seem to be a bit underwhelming. I mean, how big could Russia possibly be?
WHen they opened up the Moon base level for a couple hours,I played it through the first time to beat it. Took about 30 minutes or so cause I took my time with it. But the second time through I went exploring for an hour. I ended up in this large city or something before they shut it off. it was awesome.
Took myself and a friend an hour and a half to reach the very bottom of that moonbase. Had there been some story or objectives involved I'm it would've taken us longer especially seeing how most of the doorways were locked off but had heavy enemy activity on the other side.
Same as me Mustang went in with a friend from Uni and it took us an Hour and a Half to reach the bottom sadly we missed the Gold chests despite looking for them. =
The game is boring. That is what they should complain about.Underneath that MMO exterior is still a generic, limited, and repetitive shooter. The mechanics and physics are poor too. There was no reason to explore even if the maps are bigger in the final build. The fact is this game is not a standout from the rest of the genre.
well thats interesting hope its not too gigantic but i still a looking forawrd to exploring
happy gaming
its quite obvious that bungie will make this game their new bread and butter. its also obvious that whatever we played during beta is barely a smidgen of whats really going to be available to us, so yeah, it was obvious that this game has huge potential to be massive.
Oh it s not gonna be small , just not as big as Bungie is trying to make us believe . Unless for them , big mean the amount of time you can play the game .
Cause if that s what they mean , it is big considering i played beta for 20 + hour ( played 2 guardians ) .
People will be disappointed if they think there will be much more on earth then what we played in beta tho .Also , i really doubt the other planets will be bigger then earth . Maybe i m wrong and there is much more zone to get too in the explore mode but i doubt it .

Bungie has actually been withholding some areas from us. There are more regions than simply the planets they have shown with this being one ripped from the beta client.
