Battlefield: Hardline was supposed to drop on October 21. Now, it won't release until "early 2015."
As you might expect, this has kicked off a firestorm of discussion and controversy. Some gamers think it's a good thing, in that EA is learning from their mistakes (remember the Battlefield 4 fiasco?). Skeptics say developer Visceral Games may not know what they're doing.
Well, speaking at this year's San Diego Comic-Con event, the developer attempted to explain the reasons behind the delay. According to GameSpot , he said it was never the original intent to push the game back, but it has "actually been a blessing." And besides, if the game is good enough, people will quickly forget the delay:
"When I think about the great games I remember, I had long relationships with them. I don't remember when they came out, who cares? If it's great enough, it'll transcend all that."
Feedback from the beta has prompted the developers to go back and rework important parts of the game. They want to make it even better and as such, they're taking a little extra time. Nothing wrong with that, right?

It's a blessing cuz its a stupid idea for a game.
I…want to beat you up in Dead or Alive, World. Cops vs Robbers man! How is that stupid?!
Also, hopefully it will have its own feel instead of being a literal carbon copy paste of the gameplay/art direction of Battlefield 3/4.
I hate both cops and crooks!
I'm with Knight on this World. I have 30yrs of Law
Enforcement under my belt soooooo, it's about time
for a game like this. lol
That's understandable…. say, you got any friends with access to the ole evidence room??
Why World, you lookin' to smoke some of that evidence Super Trooper style?
Where's LV….
well i for one am glad they did the last thing EA needs right now is another BF4 fiasco or simcity debacle to deal with so good on them to do the right thing for once in their miserable lives
happy gaming
