When Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes came out, many claimed that the game could be beaten in under two hours.
Yeah? How's about in under four minutes ?
The latest speed run, spotted by Kotaku , shows YouTube user CrumandMimalmo racing through the game in just 3:54:870. The impressive part isn't even the time; it's the fact that it was an S-Rank play-through, and Mimalmo claims that this is a world record. We're not about to doubt that.
Ground Zeroes was a prologue to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ; the latter is supposedly over "200 times bigger" than the sample we received back in February. So, probably no 4-minute speed runs for that one, right?

This just shows how flawed the reflex is. Kojima should remove it or have it recharge after every use. Otherwise…
You can turn it off.
Didn't know MGS became an FPS.
I wonder how Sony is going to charge this game if it becomes available on PS Now
Pfft. Now my 6 minutes is meaningless!
So Big Boss is apparently now Captain America, Hawkeye and Quicksilver rolled into one?
So is it just me or do the graphics look like they've been downgraded since 4 and how on earth do you get an S rank for killing everyone on the map?
Is the grade based on how long it takes? Because I hate that type of grading on stealth games. Why is speed ever a grading factor on a stealth game?
He only killed 2 people. He tranquilized the rest.
Eh, i don't care for speed runs, I could beat the Tanker of MGS2 in under 10 mins. But I just don't find that fun. I spent 3 hours on my first time in the Ground Zeroes mission and it was blast. Pretty ballsy of him to leave the first prisoner on the helipad…
