If you've pre-ordered your copy of inFamous: Second Son at GameStop, we've got good news.
The retailer has announced that all pre-orders for Sucker Punch's anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive will receive an automatic upgrade to the Limited Edition. It doesn't matter if you've already pre-ordered, or if you pre-order just in time before the game ships. Remember, it's due out on Friday!
The Limited Edition version includes a premium foil cover, exclusive downloadable content (Cole's Legacy) and in-game vests for the protagonist Delsin. Furthermore, you'll grab 500 Sony Rewards points for pre-ordering at GameStop; those points can be redeemed at SonyRewards.com . Lastly, you should check to see if your local GameStop location will be holding midnight launch festivities for Second Son .
We've been waiting on this bad boy for over a year, and it's almost time…!

Does anyone around here actually shop at GameStop?
If so I hate you 🙂
It is okay as long as you buy new. If you don't want to talk to the employees, then assert your dominance over them and that's it. End of story. No need to reduce your options.
There are so many other options though. Cheaper and more convenient options. I refuse to give them a cent. It's bad enough a majority of the people that work there that I've come across are complete douche bags but the company's pricing strategy is ridiculous. I can't think of a single valid reason to ever step foot in the store.
The way that business is run is just one more reason I went all digital this generation. I don't ever intend to step foot in ANY brick and mortar store again to buy a video game. I LOVE being all digital.
Yeah – the sales people at Gamestop – the main reason I started shopping Best Buy for video games. I was going to say, "I'm sure there are still good valid reasons for people to shop at Gamestop", but then I couldn't think of any. YMMV.

I console shop on Amazon or my friendly Best Buy. I buy all my PC games from Steam or Amazon, all digital. Bought both Metro games off Steam a few nights ago for $13.00!
i got good reasons why i go to gamestop. dont like buying online. when i buy thing i want them in my hands as soon as possible. gamestop is the only one that carries the niche titles i like, neptunia type niche game. most often they get cheaper at gamestop. i think neptunia was 30 new back then but amazon still had it at 50.
if gamestop has a good preorder bonus, i preorder there.. of course i buy the actual game someplace cheaper then return copy to gamestop after i collect the preorder bonus.
also, gamestop has free rentals.. ok they call it 7day return policy for used games but meh, same difference.
Maybe my experience is atypical but I've never had a problem with Gamestop. The manager of the store I tend to go to has always taken good care of me and the employees aren't overly pushy. When I bought Heavy Rain I went in with the intention of buying new and this manager suggested it without any prompting from me because it (the Director's Cut)included the additional DLC. He had some used copies but recommended the better value for me. So, yeah! I don't hate the company as a rule but I'm sure there are individual stores I wouldn't want to go near.
johnld,
I used to do that "free rental" scheme too! I played way too many PS1/2 games while I was in college thanks to the return policy. The Gamestop near my college ended up getting rid of it, go figure.
Kryten1029a,
Even Hitler had friends…
sounds like a nice incentive aye pitty i won't be picking it up for awhile.
happy gaming =)
The only versions of the game you can pre-order are Limited and Collector editions of the game. So, I don't understand how this is an upgrade?
