Having put in five long years of work, Barlog and Santa Monica Studios have a lot on the line with this game, and Cory’s reaction to the overwhelmingly positive scores thus far is truly amazing:
Game development is not easy, and AAA development comes with serious pressure, high costs and strict deadlines. It’s not an easy job. It’s refreshing to see such a prominent lead designer react so openly and honestly to community feedback. Grab a tissue before you watch this video, because while Kratos is a stoic character, God of War director Cory Barlog is not.
