So I mentioned Sucker Punch might be putting out a Spider-Man game. And I extemporaneously said that they were the best superhero game makers.
That might have been true when inFamous debuted, a lot of people found that story with Kessler to be very strong as a comic book style stand alone.
However upon further review yes Rocksteady does deserve the crown for doing what they did with Batman. Activistion has had a certain amount of success, though limited with Spider-man, and the Deadpool game should have been better. Sega and others tried to make a decent Captain America game with a free flow combat system a la Batman and Ironman had a go at it way back on PS2. Really though we haven't seen anything of similar quality as the MCU films on the video game front. Where is the effort?
Or, as Batman is doing pretty good for gaming and Suicide Squad is coming up for moveland and Batman V Superman was a big critical flop perhaps there's hope that DC could churn out a set of superhero games from their set of great heroes. The DC Universe free to play game is kind of okay and fighting games are kind of okay but where are the great experiences that take us alongside the comic heroes like Spider-Man 2 did on PS2 and Xbox?
My main point is that gaming is the place where we go to feel, well, super. It seems kind of silly that our superheros are so often pinched by poor stories, questionable mechanics, and skinny budgets. It isn't always the case, but with the heroes of geekdom riding high and even reaching the echelons of higher art and political thought these days why isn't there a bigger push to bring that kind of success to gamers?
We've had some bad Superman and Hulk games. What would you like to see?
I welcome any attempt at a super hero game by a legit developer. But I think the games that work the best in these world's are games like Marvels Ultimate Alliance, Xmen Legends, and DC Universe online. Games that follow a dungeon crawling rpg esque approach to the full blown mmo.
I'd appreciate a 3rd Ultimate Alliance game!
Also I'm pro Iron Man.
some companies just cant do all things good… Take marvel and DC for example… Marvels Movies are great but their tv series and animated movies arent all that good. Whereas DC movies arent that great but their animated movies and tv series are top notch
Marvel has some good tv shows like daredevil tho. I kinda always disagree about the whole marvel has good movies thing. I think people like thier movies because of the mass appeal of them rather than them actually being good movies. I do love the dc animated movies tho those rock.

Well yeah their Netflix stuff is good but other than that.. NO… Agents of shield is 100% watchable but I wouldnt call it GOOD… it definitely cant compare to Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow or even Supergirl and Gotham
Marvels movies are good because they stay true to the comics and not try to be grounded and broody/dark when its not needed like DC movies are, if they were more like their comics or tv shows theyd be great too. I mean take Batman vs Superman and Man of Steel Movies for example.. name one time you seen Superman smile in any of those movies? I mean wtf hes Superman not Batman he shouldnt look that mean or "scary" 100% of the time.

I wish Warner Brothers and Disney would team up and give us the fans the ultimate fan service.Give us Avengers vs Justice league, Hulk vs Superman, heck I'd take a Looney tunes vs Mickey and company.
I hope sucker punch is working on infamous or a new ip but if is Spider-man then I would gladly buy it aswell.I have been a huge Batman fan ever since the animated series yet I haven't seen any of the live action movies, don't know how odd that sounds.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is great but it's less superhero fare and more drama. The Batfleck movie coming out should be more superhero like Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer were.
I kinda meant like story based, follow the plan or something similar like Batman did. I just think it's so rich why would someone like Marvel just drop their great franchises into the hands of idiots and let them become these cheesy games outshined by original material or even decent games like DC Universe but no fully rounded out story based adventures?
Team iron Man here, I would love a Daredevil game similar to the Batman Rocksteady games but with more focus on investigation and may even a part of the game when you have to act as a lawyer with a system ala Phoenix Wright.
Yes, a Daredevil game that's Phoenix Wright meets Rocksteady Batman would be amazing. Good call.
But Team Cap, c'mon now.

I've been wondering why Marvel/Disney hasn't been making AAA games to go along with their MCU movies. You know they love cash, and given the right treatment you'd know they'd make a ton. And lego games don't count.
Hulk Ultimate Destruction on PS2 was a good Hulk game. That and Spider-Man 2 are still my favorite open world Marvel games. We didn't get any last gen except for an alright Spider-Man game out of like 6. Marvels huge everywhere right now except the AAA game scene.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance was at the very beginning of the PS3. I'm pretty sure it came out on PS2 also. That was the best Marvel game I think. I wish they paid more attention to the Civil War when doing ultimate alliance 2. The just botched it when there was tons of potential.
The X-Men Legends/ Marvel Ultimate Alliance series was great dont understand why activision stopped those.
