Whenever a game has completely captured the attention of the entire industry, I like to go the other way. I like to find those who have zero interest in the game of the moment and find out what they'll be playing instead.
Unless you've been living under a rock on Mars, you know Destiny launches next week. Not only are there countless headlines involving that game right now, but it has been the most talked-about game of 2014, hands-down (with the possible exception of The Last Of Us: Remastered about a month before its release). However, while analysts think Destiny could sell 15 million copies alone, not everyone on earth is interested.
If you count yourself in the latter group, I want to hear from you: What will you be playing next week while millions are getting obsessed with Destiny ? Are you still going through Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster ? Heck, that's probably what I'd be doing now if I wasn't caught up in Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition . Maybe you're still playing Watch Dogs ; tryin' to get 100 percent complete and all that. Let us know!
P.S. Advent Child, thanks for the gift but I'm obviously too stupid to accept it. How the hell do I open it? Do I need a Battle.net account?

i'll be playing through my backlog/list of half finished games…like valkyria chronicles, fallout new vegas, darksiders, ni no kuni and more….heh i've got so many i need to finish and now that i also have a ps4 the backlog is only going to get bigger noooooooo!

should I got for inquisition? I never even played 2 because the demo was so off putting for me. I thought it was decent when I started to play it but then I noticed the frame rate issues and then it just becoming more jerky and then it just flat out froze on me. After it did that I was done with it and never even bothered with picking up the game.
The curse of loving rpg , create a big backlog and they are a pain to get back into .So i rarely bother to finish them .
There is also the problem that it s way more fun jumping on a game you never played .So it s impossible for me to resist buying a new game .
At least if i ever get poor , i ll have years of gaming to pass the tiem and cost me nothing to have fun 🙂

Me too. The alpha and beta just sucked me in. Just over 27 hours to go!
Sims 4, Dead Rising 3, Invisible Inc., Clockwork Empires, Total War: Rome 2, Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft now that the new update is out, just to name a few. Not to mention the various board games me and my gaming group play at least once a week.
Forgot to add Diablo 3 to the list as well now that the season mode is in affect.

I was planning on playing something else, anything else really, but god dang it, all this Destiny advertisement has won me over. I'll be playing Destiny.
Just got my ps4 couple days ago with Infamous and already got the platinum for that game. Was the only game I bought haha…so I will be playing PS Plus free games until the struggle dies down a bit so I can buy Destiny.
Same here. Just got my ps4 not long ago with a free ISS download. About 70% complete. Game is freaking awesome.
Still playing through the endgame of FFX (clearing out the sphere grids, ultimate weapons, etc. — I still loathe Blitzball), I'm running through my third character to lvl 70 in Diablo 3… but the big winner for next week might be Destiny. At least Tuesday and Wednesday will be pretty devoted to seeing how the full game plays
blitzball evil, it's even worse in X-2.
I got sidetracked from that by Black Flag – though dodging 200 lightning bolts was driving me mad! Will have to go back at some point, think I had everything but luck & evasion up to 255.
Yeah, I can't deal with the lightning bolts. Pretty sure I'm going to end this run with everybody except Waka and Lulu's ultimate weapon. At least I've got the Nirvana – Yuna is a beast compared to Lulu.
Ugh, I actually wanted to try giving X-2 a fair shake this time. I think my little brother bought it, and I played all of twenty minutes before getting bored.
Finishing AC4 and playing Dota2 sometimes. After that I will jump again on TloU:R on survivor. All this until GTA5 will hit PS4.
WARRRR THUNDERRRR….. and a little Watch Dogs/The Testament of Sherlock Holmes/Lego Batman 2 :).
yes. props for War Thunder. That game doesn't get enough attention.
I played it the other day some more. I tried simulation mode and I couldn't even turn my plane right. It's like the Gran Turismo of WWII airplanes.

Nice work for giving Sim mode a bash :). The wait for multiplayer games in sim mode can be a bit painful, but you can play the missions and campaign in sim mode as well (although some of the campaign missions are damn near impossible in sim). I love the depth of the handling, it makes just getting into one of the planes and flying around in free flight fun :).
This is the first time I'm on the side of the mainstream! I feel out of place.
But FPS grates my ancient nerves after a bit so when Destiny burns me out I'm gonna take advantage of moving quickly on Fairy Fencer F for ya'll 🙂
but it'll make you an educated critic of the game once you've put in the time. You'll have seen what it's all about and can make concise criticisms based on experience while fanboys grit their teeth at you.

I had Destiny on pre order but cancelled. Reason is I'm playing minecraft, plants vs zombies garden warfare and a little battlefield 4. I'm really waiting on Shadow of Mordor on the 30th sept. And then Lord's of the Fallen. Didn't want to get started on Destiny to just have to ditch it 3 week's latter.That me sorted.

NHL 15 All the way! I've been wait for so long for this one since they didn't do a next gen one last year. And as a Leafs fan the only chance I have of celebrating a cup win is in a video game… so it's sort of like therapy for me.
Hate to break to everyone but maybe we'll ALL be playing something else next week because these massive online launches tend to have all kinds of network issues that break the game for millions. I'll be ready for the worst just in case there's an upset.

Haha, of this there's a good chance ;). Here's hoping the hiccups don't last the whole week for all the Destiny fans.
The Beta had some 8 million people on it over the weekend (or some crazy number). I expect intermittent hiccups but no true crash. Either way, I won't be on til maybe 4-5 hours after the official launch so hopefully everybody else will be the guinea pigs. LOL
I was playing Diablo 3, but it's not as pressing now that I have a lv70. Most of the trophies I have left for it are the real time sink ones.
I also still have to finish the left behind DLC, but a friend is supposed to lend me Watchdogs this week. So that should keep me busy until Shadow of Mordor.
Did you get the trophy for breaking 50 objects yet?

I'm definitely doing it in the crypts like you said. I got up to 41 before with a Barbarian, but now that I've got Dashing Through the Rift it's time to give it some more tries.

I'll be playing Dark Souls 2, GTAOnline or The Last of Remastered on Grounded difficulty.
When i get my PS4:
Swapping the HDD from 500Gb to 2Tb.
Even though i get Destiny with my PS4, the first game I will be playing is Abe's New N Tasty.
I predict a login server problem with Destiny aswell. So I will try it, but probably wait a few days as things calm down.
Nice, I put in a 1tb nearly 7 months after getting mine and had to redownload stuff. You should be set with a 2tb.

Thanks to an impromptu brokening due to family obligations (don't get me wrong, I was more than happy to help), I will be playing darksiders II and sly cooper brought to me by Playstation plus. I also bought Fuse for five bucks because why the hell not. Honestly, I'm not unhappy by any means with the situation
