It has been confirmed that Capcom will release Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November.
McV3 was a popular and critically acclaimed crossover fighter that released in February, and the Ultimate version will boast no less than a dozen new characters, eight new stages, and several new modes. New faces include Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, and Strider, and Capcom has promised certain tweaks to the game's combat mechanic. The new spectator mode for online play will let competitors waiting for their turn in a group fight watch the current match.
And don't worry about having to pay full price. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will retail for $40, which is a nice break from all the $60 games you're gonna want to buy this fall. November is also home to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception , Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , so…yeah, we'll all be busy. But the fighting aficionados know what they want; this is a must-own, right?

Same exact thoughts Jawknee. The better fix the fighting mechanics to the original presets instead of this one button for everything. They also have a full roster leak and it is sad to see no Mega Man >:(. They cancel both games because they werent shaping up well or is it because they couldn't milk them with DLC? Used purchases from Capcom from now on.
You know, I gave them the benefit of the doubt after I bought Street Fighter IV and then they announced Super Street Fighter IV. But then they released Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition and expected those of us who bought the previous damn game a few months earlier to fork out another $14.99 for the additional content. Then I bought MvC3 and now this? Screw Capcom. I'm so sick of their gouging. They will not get anymore money from me until they get their act together.
That would explain why I saw this cheap in store the other day…

No hope…the character list leaked. No Megaman, Bison, Rogue or Venom, Cap. Commando, no Gambit or Cyclops, just pure trashy characters.
Megaman seems to be taking a thrashing as of late. (I'm praying to God that the list is fake (more than likely not after seeing the pics), cause who the hell wants a Raccoon or Frank West and Phoenix Wright? WOW just WOW!
As far as CASHCOM goes, they really need to stop with rehashing the SAME DAMN GAME OVER! Stop with the milking. At least offer it, to the people who've purchased it before, as DLC for $30. Is that asking for too much?

LOL the same year? I'm still gonna buy it, but what sucks is that they already made us pay 10 on dlc characters, hope the people that own the old version receive something like free costumes.
Btw the new characters are frigging awesome, it has firebrand !

Hopefully all the new additions can be featured as DLC as well because there is NO way that I'm re-buying this game only 10 short months after I bought it the first time. I also bought the Special Edition of the original version that came with an amazing Steelbook, so that's not going anywhere. Good job, Capcom! Keep milking your fans while you can because at this rate, you're gonna scare them away real soon! (THREE RELEASES FOR STREET FIGHTER 4? REALLY?!?!)
Totally agree, and there's talk saying that AE isn't the last iteration so be ready to shelve another $20 AT LEST for the next Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Turbo!

Capcom are really milking their fighting games for all they are worth. At least they don't charge full price for their "Super Ultra" versions so I'm fine with that. I'm just not a fan of MvC style fighters. They are just too hectic.
I expected this to happen I said it back when MvsC3 1st came out that they were gonna do this. I didn't buy the 1st and I'm not buying this, the only thing that looks different is the huds they like alittle like the one in MvsC2, everything looks the exact same only with 12 more characters, there is nothing that they are doing to this game that couldn't have been do in the 1st.
On that note congratulations to those of you actually looking forward to this for whatever reason that may.

I didn't expect this with this title. I was being naive I suppose. They have never done this with their Vs. series but oh well. I guess I should have known.
crap, i guess i was wrong with my prediction of a super marvel vs capcom 3, pulled a fast one and released ULTIMATE marvel vs capcom 3. Which is weird because as far as i'm concerned, the ULTIMATE marvel vs capcom is MVC2. this third entry doesnt even come close to the first game.
I want to predict an Ultimate Marvel vs capcom 3 arcade edition but i bet capcom is gonna pull a fast one on that too. something like championship edition, game of the year edition (we all know that title is worthless now), classic edition, or maybe mix them all up. either way, i wont be surprised if theres a few more versions out there.
They would make a joke of themselves (yes even more) being this called the ultimate version if they release another one.
I gotta say John. I wasn't at all interested in MvsC 2 at all. Its worse than this game with the overpowered characters and assist spamming. I actually liked the original. Hands down the best version they had. Part 2 just had a bunch of characters nobody I knew used.
Here's hoping that this game is more like the original. I'm very glad I only payed half-price for MvsC 3 otherwise I would have been very mad.

Street fighter IV was fantastic, but it just opened the floodgates for Capcom to cash in on the new 2D fighting craze!!
Super street fighter IV, arcade edition (which was just unnecessary), marvel vs Capcom 3, street fighter X tekken, tatsunoku vs Capcom (which was great) and NOW Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3!!!
I am so glad I didn't buy MvsC 3. Super street fighter IV on my PS3 is enough. Might get street fighter X tekken on Vita though. Cole McGrath looks like an awesome character to fight as!!!
I don't like Cole's design in SXT. They made him look like an ape.

most pathetic part is they wont be releasing this as DLC, its only available disk based so if you bought the original and want this your up sh*t creek without a paddle.

A week ago I bought a used copy of MvsC3 for 30+ bucks. Now I have to fork 40 bucks for another 12 characters? Is this Capcom or Activision? This should have been a ten dollar DLC (fifteen dollars at most) because they already have the engine, they just need to recycle characters from previous Capcom games. They already recycle "special" moves between characters.
