Morgan Webb is a fixture in the video game world, and although we don't agree with everything she says, we will freely admit the girl loves games. And her latest comment may light a fire under the Nintendo fan crowd that despises journalists who say the Wii is "just for kids."
Now that Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time is on store shelves, it's easy to spot the family-friendly appeal this franchise has always boasted. And technically, one can say the game falls into the same genre as something like Super Mario Galaxy ; both are age-appropriate platformers (to some extent). Therefore, perhaps it's only natural that Webb would compare the two, although like we said, it's bound to cause some Nintendo/Sony controversy. She issued the following statement on a recent episode of Attach of the Show:
"…and let’s be honest, there are no other action-platformers out there… This is it, this is it… This is the only game out there for people who like action-platformers. I mean, I guess Mario Galaxy, but Mario Galaxy feels like its aimed so much for kids. Whereas this is like for everyone, but you feel like you’re not being insulted when playing it as an adult."
Of course, those on the Nintendo side of things simply refuse to admit that Webb just might be right, although we will certainly acknowledge the fact that adults can have fun with Super Mario Galaxy . The point Webb is trying to make, however, is that more adults will feel Ratchet and Clank is a bit more suited to their tastes, which is perfectly legitimate. Well, that's our take on it. And hey, does anyone know if Webb is married yet? Just wondering.

Now that's the type of woman I could get behind…
Turbo Lolllz!!! Behind every great man, there's a great…whuh, wait…
I guess, if she got in that level of discussion about such a game, R&C, and knows what's she's talking about, there's a high likelihood she just might be, will be, or have been reading, here. With that in mind, I withhold any remarks on my thoughts about her, her person, or her bodice in a certain light…
i heard she had hairy nipples and the "ninja"
Wikipedia tells me that, yes, she is married.
Bah. Married the wrong guy.
woah,
i have never seen this side of BEN lol very personal
unlike most gaming sites, i like it 🙂
She is a cuttie a bit of an Xbot, but still.
Wait, Ben, you are a guy? Judging by your female avatar, I always thought Ben was short for Benjolina. Guess you learn something new every day. J/K.
Ben you are a true profesional, but good to see you still have raging hormones like the rest of us.

I'd like to play a game with her.
Jigsaw? Is that really you?
Dressed in that? I'd probably be too distracted.
you mean like "hide the weiner"?
I love both games, but I do admit SMG compaired to R&C is like compairing mickey mouse to shrek, yeah they both are animated comedies but one caters just to kids while the other throws in some adult humor that kids won't get
Think she plays with sack? I mean sackboy.
Stickman and sackboy?
She's wrong
The ONLY thing which Ratchet has over the recent Mario games is the level of difficulty
NOTHING ELSE
Just because Ratchet and Clank has guns doesn't mean it's instantly more for adults than any other platformers
PS: Is Ghosts N Ghoblins for kids too? Hey there's no guns there either
yeah that game was for kids, it was just insanely difficult.

When was the last time you heard a Mario character exclaim "Wow! I haven't seen a tag-team like that since I starred in 'Hero Sandwich!'
I fully agree. Guns do not equal mature nor does inuendo. The only thing I'm insulted by as an adult is the mindless garbage that comes out of some peoples mouths.
I think she was referring to the story being more adult-oriented than Mario Galaxy. Furthermore, she wasn't badmouthing the older Mario games, just Galaxy. In her mind, Galaxy's story was geared more to kids, which is obvious because it IS Mario and Nintendo.
And let's be honest, R&C is a hybrid platformer/shooter while Galaxy was something else entirely.
While you guys have fun playing games with Morgan Webb, I'll be having my fun with Adriana Lima and Megan Fox. =)
good luck getting that to happen
You like dat club thumb action eh?
I agree, Give me Megan Fox and my heart will be Content haha!
you know it lol
I wonder if ms. ever played Skyblazer, Ghouls N Ghost, or even Contra. If anything then she should shut her mouth as there other platformers/action games out there that kick the snot out of Ratchet.

I don't understand a syllable of that ridiculous content.
Are you drunk or is English your second or eighth language?
He's high on PCP.

Wait! There's a new Skyblazer, Ghouls N Ghosts and Contra out for THIS gen??? Holy crap! I was just wondering what game to buy this week! They must be great.

I can't take that lady seriously. Everything she says seems written by others. It might be just me but meh.
I agree with this guy. It's not just you. Everything she says sounds like it was written by somebody else.
I wouldn't call her an Xbot. More like a PC. That's where she got her start at Tech TV years ago.
it is written i guarantee it, she may have a hand in the writing but this isnt "whose line is it anyways" for crying out loud! She and Sessler are hard to take seriously, because they are on t.v. unlike what Ben or Arnold say about something when we know ther are writing there stuff. wait you are writing this stuff right guys?
anyways thats not to say she doesn't say alot of her own feelings but its obvious its scripted, wether she wrote it or not, she always sounds like shes trying to act.

I watched them once and to be honest it was a little awkward for the reasons your saying. They just don't seem to be acting genuine and that makes me a little uncomfortable when I watch them for some reason.
lol yes your right, they make watching them terribly uncomfortable. its almost like if i didnt know who they were id think they had no idea what they were talking about.
You know what I like about Morgan (besides the fact that she's hot)? She is not an xbot. She always has a straight unbiased opinion toward games.
For example, her favorite game in 2009 b4 October…Infamous. She loves the Brutal Legend multi-player. And doesn't like Final Fantasy but understands the power behind the game itself.
I can respect that in anybody, but in a hot woman?!!! Ah…….I need a girl like her.
shes an anomaly in the gaming world. kinda like neo in the matrix. except i rather watch her.
She also loved LBP and MGS last year and Killzone 2 and Uncharted this year.
I think she and Adam get a bad rap for being Xbots when they just love games.
The problem with X-Play is that the producers and editors behind the scenes are, for the most part, Xbots. I loved — past tense because X-play doesn't do this much anymore; it used to be a lot worse — when X-play would indicate a game was for the 360 during a review or preview when it was obviously a multiplatform game so that anyone watching that didn't know better or doesn't venture outside the 360 section at the videogame store would think it was a 360 exclusive.
You also have to realize that half the time Adam and Morgan, and now Blair Herter (who has quietly been promoted from the news guy to the third host), are just reading the review of a producer or writer on the show. I'm not saying Adam, Morgan, and Blair don't play the games; but let's be honest, with all the games that come out around this time of year, there is no way those three can play and review all the games they review on screen.
she's hot
and she likes games
morgan webb FTW!!
i think some priority counseling is in order.
Isn't that pic a little old? Don't get me wrong, Morgan is drop dead gorgeous, but there is a slight difference between what she looked like then and what she looks like now. However, that difference is only slight.
Quite frankly, I'm more entertained by Adam Sessler on Xplay than Morgan. He's hilarious at the best of times.
Check out his review of Tetris Evolution on 360 from Xplay and you'll see what I mean.
When he's not skipping through the joke with his extremely fast talking.
@boom
Seems like he's trying to convince us that he is smart…or he just fits the bill of "nerd" perfectly.
Every now and again Morgan Webb shakes off the mental chains that have been placed around her and speaks her mind. I can't stand the way she and Sessler have been bottled up by G4TV and their Xbot nation attitudes. Both used to express a lot more independence of thought and critical thought about games. I can't remember the last time I watched either of them on X-Play and thought that they had done an insightful, thoughtful job. It's years ago I am sure.
She's absolutely right of course…and clearly she rocks, though that goes without saying, I will still say it.
Morgan is finger lickin good, I'd take that with a side of fries any day.
Who the hell is spamming the thumbs down? I think someone has a widdil cwush on Morgan and doesn't want anyone to say anything about his imaginary girlfriend. Probably gets a little too close to the poster of her on his wall.
It's Ben, he does not want you talking about his wife like that.
j/k Ben (^0^)
