All right, so last year's Medal of Honor: Warfighter didn't live up to expectations. But you can always count on Battlefield to deliver the high-quality shooter goods in spades.
Electronic Arts has just sent over an invitation to an event that will be held in San Francisco during the Game Developers Conference. The event will "celebrate a new era of Battlefield " and will take place on March 26. Unfortunately, no other teaser information was released with the invitation. Well, we'll be patient.
We've known that BF4 has been in development for a while, as EA formally announced the sequel last summer. At the time, they revealed details of a beta test, which will begin in the fall of 2013. If you picked up the aforementioned Warfighter , you're guaranteed a spot in the test, but we're sure there will be other ways to get in. And chances are, it'll go public at some point, so most will get a chance to play the anticipated title early.
As for intended platforms, we're willing to bet Battlefield 4 is coming to the PlayStation 4. After all, EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen stated that he has seen BF4 running on the PS4 . I'd say it's probably inevitable.
