John-ShepardIf you're unsure of a Dead Space 3 purchase, you should definitely try out the demo later this month.
EA has announced that a playable sample of the upcoming horror title will be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on January 22.
If you're an Xbox 360 owner, you have the option to access the demo a week early (January 15); you just have to go here and follow the simple steps. This demo will include a "customized portion of Tau Volantis," the icy planet on which you will encounter a great many nasty creatures. Speaking of the nasties, we'll get a chance to see some new Necromorphs along with the weapon-crafting arena that will let you get all imaginative. Experiment with different weapon setups and see which works best! There will also be single-player and online-only co-op play available.
Dead Space 3 is set to scare the sh** out of you on February 5.

I figured that I'd sign up for the Xbox just to try it a week earlier, but EA want's you to either like the 1-week early deal on the 360 on Facebook or re-tweet the same.
Plus it looks like SP mode is using the Kinect(hope it's not Kinect-only, which I don't have).
So, I guess I'll just wait till it arrives on the PSN instead.

Weapon Crafting
Scavenge for parts and build your own unique weapon. Access the weapons bench to combine, reconfigure, and adapt your arsenal to any situation.
Hostile Environment
Head planet-side and fight for your life in a hostile environment. Defeat evolved Necromorphs and prepare for the unexpected.
Better with Kinect
Add voice to your arsenal and amplify the action with Kinect in single player or co-op. Heal yourself by saying "Quick Heal" and give your co-op partner more ammunition by saying "Give Partner Ammo".
