Because the game is still early in the development process, fans of the long-running combat franchise have plenty of suggestions. While the Mortal Kombat reboot gets Kratos, who might fit in nicely with the SC universe? Well, Platinum Games boss Hideki Kamiya has expressed interest in seeing one of his latest character creations, the leggy Bayonetta, fight in the Calibur arena. PlayStation LifeStyle has noted a few Tweets from both Kamiya and Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada, both of whom are interested in the sexy witch landing alongside the likes of Ivy, Sophitia, Taki, and others.

So, do you think that should happen? Bayonetta has the attitude and body to fit in with the Soul Calibur ladies, and it seems plain she'd rely on blinding speed and maybe a few tricky spells. If you're not a fan of the idea, what other big-name characters might make a big splash in a fighting game? Maybe they should get risky and try someone like Ratchet (that'd be weird, though), or perhaps they could toss in the obvious, like Dante. …the old Dante, not the newly designed, heroin-addict one.

I have to say that in my expert opinion, compared to Ivy, Setsuka, Taki, Sophitia, Seong Mina and Cassandra, Bayonetta is indeed less well endowed. Not sure I'd say flat, but definitely not as shapely or perky. Bayonetta appears to have been cursed with more realistic size, and shape.
One thing that is interesting about Bayonetta is that cosplayers are typically more attractive than the character. Anyone who knows about cosplay knows that cosplayers are never more attractive than the character that they are playing, well almost never. Bayonetta is simply not that pretty, or sexy.

To be honest I think Ezio or Altiar would suit as better guests. I'm not too sure about Bayonetta because she may or may not fit within the world. Kratos fit in nicely with Broken Destiney, but that was the issue with the Starwars characters in SCIV.
I want bayonetta, krato, lighting, fang, snow, Belmont and Dante all in there. That will really kick ass

Bayonetta would destroy all the Soul Calibur rooster alone, she's just too strong..but again Kratos would do the same with MK rooster.
Hope Kratos don't leave ths SC franchise after the psp game, Bayonetta vs Kratos dream match!

action wise, its one of the better games to come along in a long time. Its like an apology to all those who like frantic paced hack and slash games but were let down by DMC4

I would like to throw Ostrava, King Doran, and maybe Guts in there too. I have not looked into this game, but is there still going to be a character creation mode? If they refine it to a great extent, you could just make who ever you want.
You can make almost anybody in the SCIV one.
Just throw in nero, dante, and vergil.
Definitely not a fan of Bayonetta, so not for me. She's such a major turn off to me.

The director of SC4 stated that KOS-MOS was in SC4, but….as we all know, she wasn't. Don't hold out much hope for the future – sadly.
she was in SC3, but only as a created character costume, hair, armor and all, sans any weapons you may have used with her in xenosaga
That's how I expected her to return in SC4, the create a soul feature was in the game, all they had to do was include about half a dozen wardrobe items and a hairstyle.
Sometimes it seems that Namco ignores the easy wins in favor of the less obvious path. Just like the create a soul was more flexible in some ways in SC3, I couldn't figure out why so many of the items available in SC3 were not there in SC4. I'm hoping that SC5 fixes that and then some.

Nah, even then Batman was pretty huge. That movie did alright, he had an animated show running at the same time, along with three or four ongoing monthly series and spinoff titles like Nightwing, Robin, etc., and other assorted Batmannery going on.
Considering the fact that SEGA is the owner of the Bayonetta IP(not Platinum), I don't see it happening.If anything this seem more like wishful thinking on Kamiya part.
Looking at the new SC game, if you were to ask me then Namco is just wasting their time putting out another one(unless there is an arcade release) given the fact the average gamer(e.g. console-centric) have a short attension span for these types of games.

there not, but he has a point. Arcades are still popular in japan, and by an arcade release he means over there. Tekken 6 and SF4 as well as SSF4 have arcade releases.
Don't forget that the arcade machines that these games are released on in Japan are all modified versions of PS3 hardware.
Nah, his point is to rant about "console centric" gamers attention spans — which is funny, 'cause outside of Japan, are there any "arcade centric" gamers anymore? It's all console/PC stuff now, isn't it? — and that it's a waste of Namco's time to release anything other than arcade games. Which would shoot themselves in the foot outside of Japan, and I being the fighting game fanatic that I am, would be out of playing my favorite genre.

They should put Conan in it. Or Miyamoto Musashi.
She also uses melee weapons, and also pick up a good variety of the enemy's weapons for limited use, shes very proficient weaponwise for a SC game.
But shes incredible strong!, I even dare to say shes more of a monster than Kratos, she sure gonna get depowered for this game.

Miyamoto in a way would be perfect, only problem is how to implement some of his more deceitful ways of combat into a game like this. Also I think he might be more deserving of having his own game rather than a extra character in a fighting game, being that he was about more then just figthing.
Ha, I wish! I've always wanted to very specific games centered around Samurai. One based on the life of Miyamoto Musashi (though, in every weapons based fighting game out there, there is a character based loosely on Musashi, even in Soul Calibur with Mitsurugi) and a sandbox/GTA/RDR-styled game based on Lone Wolf and Cub.

Bayonetta would fit, but instead of focusing on guest characters, how bout Namco test their games before releasing them to the public? It helps with balancing issues. Id hate to see the next SC game plagued with another broken character (HILDE: in a game that allows you to air control out of mid air juggles, why is she allowed to not only bypass this common rule, but ring you out from just about any distance?)
Even though quite a few members of the SC4 tourney community ask namco to address this issue, it was ignored.
An arcade release would help iron out balance issues that plagued the 3rd and 4th SC games, but i highly doubt that will happen.
