Sportsfriends Brings Zany Co-Op Sports Action To PS3, PS4

Now this looks like fun!

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , Sportsfriends is coming to the PS4 and PS3 on May 6. It'll retail for $15.

The quirky co-op sports collection includes four games: JS Joust, BaraBariBall, Super Pole Riders and Hokra. You can also use the PlayStation Move to further immerse yourself in the experience, if you so choose. The PS4 version allows for up to four players to join in on the action (via 4 Dual Shock 4 controllers), and up to seven players in the PS3 version. If you pick up the PS3 version, you'll nab the PS4 iteration for free, too.

This was a successful Kickstarter project that earned $152,451, so now it's almost time to check out the results of that campaign.

Sportsfriends Now Confirmed For PS4

Well, maybe the trailer will confuse you, but that's okay. It generates curiosity, does it not?

The Kickstarter campaign for Sportsfriends was successful, which is why it's coming to the PS3. And now, as announced over at the PlayStation Blog , the bizarre interactive "sports" game will be available on the PS4 as well. And if you download it on the PS3, you can get the PS4 version for free.

There's no specific release date just yet and they're considering embracing Cross Buy. They're "getting close" to the PS3 debut, as they're currently shooting for a January launch. There are four games included in Sportsfriends , and they have been ported to and are currently working on PS3 hardware; the team just needs to "finish all the surrounding details (menu polish, bug fixing, and so forth)."

Maybe this is a good reason to break out the PlayStation Move. Mine has been gathering dust as of late.
