Project CARS Races Past The Million Mark

It's a wickedly in-depth simulator and gamers have responded.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios has announced that Project CARS has surpassed the 1 million unit mark.

The game released on May 12, which means it hit the impressive sales plateau in less than a month. As Slightly Mad boss Ian Bell said in a statement:

"To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years and solidifies Project Cars' future as the multi-platform racing experience of choice for fans around the world. And we'll be talking more about that future very, very soon."

We thought the game was a little too restrictive in terms of audience reach, in that unless you only want to master the fine art of driving (and don't care at all about the video game side), you might be disappointed. But we also stressed the quality of the gameplay and wonderful detail and intricacy on display, which gearheads everywhere undoubtedly appreciate.
