The PlayStation 4 is a slick machine, but do you see that slickness characterized in the user interface?
We've gotten a few glimpses at the PS4's UI at past trade shows but now, we get an even better look at it. PlayStation community manager Chris Owen posted up some images via his Twitter feed , and that includes the system's Home screen, along with the What's New, Video Edit, Messages and Profile pages. Ain't they pretty?
You also see the PlayStation App, the console's free companion app for iOS and Android devices, where users will be able to receive notifications, game alerts, invites and messages. What do you think of the user interface based on these images? There's certainly a lot of blue, which I kinda like, and we've seen that browsing through the pages is fast and smooth. Design-wise, I think it works, and it definitely seems more attractive and more efficient than the current PS3 UI.
Still, I really just want my PS4 to play video games. Silly me.
